vDSA weekly challenge suggestion.

Here's an idea, a weekly vDSA leaderboard separate from the 12 man trial leaderboards. Similar to vMA high scores every week can receive gold weapons maybe jewlery as well.

This would Potentially allow 3 rewards from the separate leaderboards, 12 man, vdsa and vma. This would add spice to ESO and another way to somewhat combat rng drops. While also encouraging frequent attempts with friends.

I think this would receive the most participation as some find it difficult to be included in 12 man teams. And also something for those who can't complete vMA or would rather play with a few friends.

It could be the most competitive weekly event. And would allow all 12 man's trials to rotate.

The new cp160 vdsa will attract players however a weekly leaderboard would be fun, competitive and rewarding. This wouldn't take away from 12 man rotating weekly leaderboards either.

What do you think?

I'd be fine with it. I always thought that it was weird that vDSA was considered a trial.

What? It's a lot easier to get 3 friends/dedicated people to do vDSA than it is to get 11 friends/dedicated people together. I think that's more what the OP was getting at.

I think it's silly, myself, that it's lumped in with the 12-man trials. I'd also like to see more content along the veins of vDSA.

Lol Excuse me? Who the heck is crying? I have completed all content. I am flawless conquerer as well as top 10 vMA leaderboards.
I am a trial lead for end game content with vSO competitions.

    Please get out.

Excellent idea. Truthfully, I would also like to do something to prevent the same 4 or 5 groups taking up 80% of the boards with their alts. And yes, before the troll returns, I am perfectly capable of getting on the VDSA boards.

    This.

It is the greatest good for the greatest number of people. Leaderboards should not be restricted so severely simply because a handful of people have nothing else to do. I get my LB spot each week like everyone else who can, but many people in my guild are left with a strong distaste in their mouth after allocating a significant amount of time to giving it a solid effort, and still shoved off by the same 12 people running it over and over again on their alts. Some people have jobs and families to tend to - and I mean good players, experienced and geared out, having completed hardmodes and veteran trials alike - where is the love for them? I'm not talking about a 20k score for vDSA that we wish would be competitive enough; No, I'm talking about a 30-32k score that lost out to XXX's 4th magplar (and no, I don't have anyone specific in mind. I simply chose magplar due to the "portal cheese" that is getting fixed).

The gold loot has lost its sparkle for me personally. Too many times I've gotten on the LBs and been rewarded with junk, suitable only for decon. But I have the luxury of running trials on specific nights with a group who can tackle the challenge and actually have a fair change at a boss drops. Not everyone does... and those people get the shaft when the same 12 people rule the leaderboards. They are totally capable of competitive runs that would stick to the boards, were it not for a handful of people monopolizing das loot.

I like this idea. Separate leaderboards for Solo content, 4 man content, and 12 man content.

    Makes sense to me.

Right now, it doesn't matter, since it's dropping the same tired Maw loot as all the non-vMA weeklies.

Once vDSA is scaled up and once the weekly leaderboard has been updated so that the vDSA weekly drops vDSA loot, then, yes, this would be an excellent idea.

That said, when Sanctum was revamped, the weekly rewards for Sanctum still dropped the same Maw loot as every other non-vMA weekly. It's not clear if ZOS will fix this and return to the old norm of each weekly dropping loot specific for that trial. If they do, then I'd love this change. If they don't, then none of this matters.
