[FIX] for "Reliable source serving corrupt data" In Download

    @ZOS_DaryaK - It didn't work. The game verified the already downloaded content all the way 25% (48mb left to download) and then gave the same exact message 'Reliable source serving corrupt data'. This is the 6th time I have tried reinstalling the game to the same result, I've tried every method I could think of, DNS flushing, running as administrator, running in safe mode with networking, putting down firewalls and antivirus... Nothing works.

    The address I get when using NSLOOKUP launcher.bethesda.net
    Address: 2804:14d:9010:672:189:5:0:53

    Also, every time I close the launcher, it creates a new host.developer and even though I removed all but the one numbered, they still start from the next number instead of starting from 0, so I assume the original file host.developer is altered every time we restart this messy process. Please @ZOS_Daryak, if you can't provide us with an easy solution, is there a way to download the whole game without Zenimax's buggy launcher? As in download it from another source.

    I doing my last try and then I will download from the EU server and then change the server to play in NA.

    Considering doing just the same, but I am unsure how we will be able to change servers afterward. @ZOS_DaryaK , can we donwload the game from the EU server and afterward change to NA? Does this affect our already existing account in NA?

    Attempting to download via the EU Server. Apparently switching it from EU to NA later is pretty easy.

    I have the EU version of the game downloaded, mind explaining how to change servers? Or pointing me in the direction of someone who can? Thank you.

    The NA and EU clients are separate, it is not possible to switch servers after downloading. I've sent the information you've provided to be investigated further. I'll update here when I have any information.

    Would be cool if he tried to test the download on a separated computer. At least than we'd know for sure that it is a problem on the server's side.

    Didn't work, neither did changing the host file to redirect to someones working copy. Guess I'll just wait to try again after the upcoming maintenance..

    EDIT: WOOT, This fixed it for me download the EU client instead, and convert it to NA by following these step: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/1277360/#Comment_1277360

    I tried that but now my EU download is also broken, will restart my PC and modem and come back to update you guys! Wish good luck and pray that this is a solid fix!

    Praying and downloading the EU version :p not like it failing on me would be more a loss of time than downloading the NA version for 8th time in a roll >.<

    Haha true, at this point my expectations are so low nothing will surprise me. Although if it does work i might jump a little.

    Yup EU servers are also broken for me, i'm just going to uninstall the whole thing, cancel my membership and wait until they fix this. This is unbelievable.

    Hi guys! Since last saturday night, im trying to install the game and get this error msg. I tried everything, from reinstalling, to redownloading, and i've 6mbs network speed, took me more than 15 hours both times...... I just wanna play, could we get some help please!!!

    Lot's of people in the same situation my friend (including me) , best thing to do right now is wait until tomorrows' maintenance, cheers.

    Welcome to the club, @Forebear ... It sucks and what is worse is, we are getting no responses, other than @ZOS_DaryaK 's best attempts yesterday to help us. :(

    For some people it seems downloading the opposite server worked, then they simply transformed the folder into the folder for the server they indeed wanted and performed a repair. It hasn't worked for everyone though.

    btw there's no pc maitenance (NA) this week... got a friend who purchased game today and he gets "reliable.." error too.

    Working fix here. Connect to a Los Angeles, CA VPN and download. Works perfectly, no corrupted files.
