I did not find that at all. There are diminishing returns on all of it. Nothing is additive. Also double checked Hardy is applied to the mitigation before the damage shield absorbs the damage. For example if its 10000 in base damage and you have a 2000 damage shield and you have 100p into Hardy with full 33100 in Physical resistance while blocking the calculation would look like this: (10000*0.75-2000)*0.5*0.5=1375.

Thou Base mitigation is a very unhelpful wording. Since there is no pure base. Cause with no skill points spent and no armor you have no resistance and if you are not blocking with no resistance you don't mitigate anything. However as he said if you have full resistance and you block you get 75% total mitigation. 0.5*0.5=0.25=25% left aka 75% mitigation. But add the 25% from Hardy or Elemental Defender in and without a damage shield it would look like this 0.5*0.5*0.75=0.1875=18.75% left aka 81.25% total mitigation. Now some would argue the wording of my testing is a bit off as well as it is true that the 25% extra from the CP does lower what is left after blocking and resistance by 25% that is just a view point difference. I like to compare the base damage to the end result of total mitigation applied.

Sorry, I should clarify. I was wrong when I said they add up to 75% total. What I mean to say is that the CP mitigation does not get capped by hard cap resists.

What actually happens is the reduction from CP is 100% accurate, but is factored after AR/SR, before Block.

So for a 10k hit, full mit+18% from CP, we have:

(10,000*.5)*.82 = 4100 (This is what we actually see)

If it were additive it would be:

    10,000*(1 - [.5 + .18]) = 3200

I apologize for my wordings earlier, I posted in a rush. That will teach me to look things over first! Mostly just trying to confirm that we still get the benefit of CP even at hard cap resists.

From what I am reading of the above post, is Hardy/Ele Defender applied before or after AR/SR? Looks like before, since it is affecting shields as well correct?

When no damage shield is applied the order of the mitigation doesn't matter since its all multiplied. But yes when a damage shield is applied Hardy/Elemental Defender is applied first. So in the calculation they would technically be put first. Also yes the resistance cap does not limit any other forms of mitigation except its own its resistance cap and not mitigation cap. Thou of course there is the diminishing return which I guess could be called a form of soft cap.

Fix the loot for normal and vet group dungeons.

All boss loot is crap apart from monster sets and the rare agility/will power drop.
That everything else is cp140 just adds insult to injury.

    At the very least
    • All loot in a cp160 dungeon should be cp160.
    • Some set drops should be added to all normal and vet dungeons.

    Nice to have
    • Add "named" items to a stat set. Ie : Tremorscales Tooth is part of Agility. Drodda's staff is will power. Whatever. Just make them worth something.
    • Have a set which dropped specifically for that dungeon. Say ice furnace from direfrost, dreugh king slayer from fungal grotto, etc

Make the imperial city have some influence upon PVP in Cyrodill and vice versa.

Eg. Emperorship in Cyrodill should allow for more Tel Var Stones in the Imperial City.

Complete district control of Imperial City should allow for increased AP in Cyrodill.

    My list:

    1. Health.
Make health a more useful attribute to stack. ATM it does nothing but keep you alive, compared to resource attributes which provide damage/healing power and skill activation directly, and damage mitigation indirectly.
If health had some secondary mechanics it would be more useful.
    2. Better Heavy Armour sets.
Such as Ravager coming in all heavy armour pieces, and Black Rose coming with shield.
    3. More sets that include jewellery and all armour and weapons. Currently there are precious few of these compared to partial sets.
    4. World dropped sets
Allow crafters to learn world drop sets - this would require them to research the individual pieces and already have 9 traits. To craft these sets would require either fighters guild, mages guild, or thieves or dark brotherhood crafting station and a number of specialist ingredients (maybe alchemical reagents and special enchants).
    5. Alchemy
Make snakeblood useful (maybe reduce poison effects on you).
Add interesting potions - glibness (reduce costs / buff rewards from npc), persuasive (mimics mages guild ability wrt quest options), cure (purges negative effects), crafting (increases temper chances), polymorph (temporary disguise / costume).
    6. Jewellery crafting
Add jewellery crafting as a new skill line that uses the existing trait gem stones.

Do you have any idea how ridiculously overpowered it would be to give Orcs more ulti gen? You are aware that very powerful low-cost ultimates like Dawnbreaker, Soul Harvest, and Radial Sweep exist right? People would be pulling 75k dps if they were able to spam Dawnbreaker more often. They would become the be-all, end-all race for both tanking and dps, even worse than what Khajiit is for dps now.

In my opinion, they really just need to update the amount of abilities that fall under the "melee" category for Swift Warrior. Things like Biting Jabs and Flurry should have every tick of damage boosted by the passive. Those skills are very beserker-like, and it would only be fair since Red Diamond and Adrenaline Rush also proc on "melee" hits and yet every tick of those skills can proc, unlike Swift Warrior.

You comments would have people believe that I think when a Orc is hit that they should generate 250 ultimate. Chances are that a racial passive that generates ultimate wouldn't amount to something absurd or broken, but would amount to something unique and fun.

Thank you for at least mentioning the downside of Orc - Everyone thinks that the Orc damage increase passive is designed in an awful way.

When we tested it, it was on Live servers (back in Thieves Guild update, there has been no documented patch note since that stated a fix was implemented) and we used two separate people. One player applied Elemental Drain rank IV and another player applied Puncture Rank IV as well as Reaper's Mark Rank IV.

If 2 separate people use it it does not show up on any addon. Still works tho. Don't trust addons

@Alcast , thank you for stopping by.

I think that not only were add-ons showing something strange, but also players may have actually seen that there magic pool was not being filled by their attacks in some cases.

@Gilliamtherogue , would you like to elaborate any more about the (current/previous?) ele drain/pierce armor bug was being detected?
