Mad God Bargain.. Seriously? Balance It!

Oh, I was expecting this to be about how all the enemies, except the boss, will never be higher than level 43, regardless of your level.

Did this last weekend on my CP160 toon, all the enemies level 43. Except the boss who was CP160.

So many goody two shoes, I sent her packing with the mad god on all 7 of my characters.
I didn't know 1st time around about the benefits of this decision, but I like that option more than the other one plus 2 free skill points. Win win for me.

Note: not that big of a deal IMO.

I honest to God can no see how anyone who went through the quests and all the scenes showing Valaste's and Shalidor's past and how egotistical and unloving he was and how lonely and unloved she was can possibly think her being Happy with Uncle Sheos is not the best thing that ever happened to her in her miserable little life! I will Always send her to the happy shores of madness for cheese and skeevers!

I hate that they changed the reward to bind on character, back in the good old days you could stack those points on main from alts quest rewards :P

I wish I could travel to the Shivering Isles... it was my favourite place in Oblivion.

As others said, do not worry too much - there are more than enough skill points to max many skill lines.

While it's true that if you complete all three alliances, you will end up with more skill points than you need, who does that nowadays? When you hit v16 in the middle of Coldharbour, have all the championship points earned across all characters, and are given access to the other alliances anyway, doing silver and gold becomes pointless. It's all about hunting skillpoints from then on, so the two from Sheo come very handy indeed.

If your too lazy to complete the rest of the story for the other factions I guess.

Personally I plan to see the story from the other factions. Whether it be on my main or an alt its still ME killing my faction for an opposing faction so MIGHT AS WELL simply do it on my main.

I wish ZOS would do more with these characters we once dealt with giving very different stories to continue on through the game. Might give a good reason to make an alt to make different choices.

Iirc didn't it used to be five skill points?

The point is, it's meant to be a tough choice. It's meant to make you question your own stance on being 'good' and put you in a difficult situation where your char's morals could go right out of the window. That's the intention, and it seems that's the tough choice you faced - in which case it is perfectly balanced and doing exactly what it is meant to be doing.

Be nice if there were more decisions that felt as hard as this one to make. But considering this one effects your # of Skill points early on, it does feel difficult.

Personally I never found gaining and spending skill points hard from day 1. I imagine others are OCD and hoarders and just have to have everything.

I think it's kind of the point that it's meant to be such a hard choice. If it was balanced it would be boring like every other "please choose our future for us" quest hand in.

I think its great having a choice with consequences, there should be more quests like it. And as everyone says it doesnt matter down the line one bit there are bucket loads of SP's.

I feel the exact same thing!
She was extremely unhappy in her former life and always got bossed around from the stupid drunk nord. I honesty believe he just got too drunk one night and went "lol imma be the bestest NORD SORCEROR lmfao" and somehow managed to pull off some magic stuff.
Then he made drunken bets and wagers with Sheo and lost his precious island and is now a sore loser and wants it back.

I sent her with Sheo on all 9 characters so far, and I believe that's the good choice. Only a monster would keep her from Uncle Sheo and those pretty butterflies!

Threads like these are interesting. As the decision was made to save her life, morally I guess, but on reflection knowing the cost is two skill points the decision is changed. Oh the cost of morality!

Actually, you don't drop those. Doing the quests is enough to rank you up the first level of the Alliance rank. That's where the skill point comes from. If you head straight into PvP without doing the quest, you'll still get it.

PS: I saved Valaste every time and never looked back.

@dem0n1k this is highly incorrect. The only reason you get the "extra skill point" is because you gain AP from doing the training and therefore level EARLY to earn the skill point. If you skip training and go out and kill something, you still get the same skill point after you level up once you earn the AP that you missed out on durning training.

Not sure actually what you mean by the lost. Unless you mean mistakenly purchasing a skillset you didn't want is losing it. I had reset mine too from using that reset thing from the crown store. I had almost 300 skill points to reallocate. So, going back in and plucking in those points, I had mistakenly purchased a couple skills I didn't want. I still have about 95 points not yet used.. so, those 2 I had burned, I would consider a lost, but surely not a big deal to me. .. and yes, thank you for being one of the good guys!

I saved Valaste once and realized I rather get the 2 points for all the others. She never came on to me or anything...

As others have pointed out it does not really matter for in the end you'll have more than enough points.
