Game is still hardly playable, this has been weeks now. Why are we paying for a game we can't play or enjoy. I think compensation Is in order...

I played for about 45 minutes after the patch was done....

I had one extra load screen about 30 seconds after I entered Stormhold, but the load screen was much, much faster then they used to be. Lasted maybe 15 seconds.
I also noticed less lag running through the town also.

Went to Reapers March to run a dolmen quick to test sweeps, noticed less lag and no extra load screen that I usually hit right at the dolmen.

I would say it's at least better then it was...

I opened a support ticket over a week ago, demanding compensation for being sold a defective product. Support responded three times with copy/paste repliues that had nothing to do with my demand for compensation. It's like they are not even reading the support tickets.

They have no idea . . . I will open 100s of tickets and will keep hounding them until I am satisfied with their response.

    Drat. I was hopeful.

And it already had issues before Dark Brotherhood.

Can we please pick up undaunted quests at all three capitals? My guild does not run them like we used to because you risk losing access to your character for weeks just to pick up the quests.
Dark Brotherhood made this issue worse, but it's been a problem since before Thieves Guild, and I lost many a gold key to the timing of the guaranteed "enclave crash".

Xb1 EU here. Pvp for me at least is a lot better. What used to make me dashboard now runs smoothly. Haven't noticed much lag. Is still there in huge fights but nothing like it was. Only time will tell if it holds up.

I'm on xb1 NA.. Its so broken, that when I first tried logging on it dashboarded me, and now it won't open the game up at all. Just does nothing when I select it.. All other games and apps work fine.

What a joke. But hey at least we have another dlc to look forward too! I bet eso plus is still broken, too.

NA has always had bad luck since launch. I feel for you guys. As for ESO plus get it canceled by Microsoft if you haven't already and resub. Also turn off auto renew and manually sub when it expires. Should solve that issue

Extra load screens in hews bane today (same as before) When I sit for a couple minutes at the shrine I don't get them. If I take off running crazy to the thieves guild entrance I'll get a couple.

I'm outta my element here but when they did away with the long load screens awhile back they didn't actually do away with it. You visible see things loading instead, black faceless characters, invisible npcs and monsters.. Ect. So in my exp your get these extra load screens if you move to quickly before things catch up.

I still have yet to see an explanation why this got so much worse after DB. It's certainly not gotten back to pre-DB after today's patch. It's frustrating, and only diehards will stick through it. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_KaiSchober

ESO uses a custom engine but the initial development was done on the hero engine. The hero engine is known for having bad lag especially with nameplates and stuff on in Swtor. I don't know if disabling UI things would help in ESO.

    ESO should look into channels.

    http://support.enmasse.com/tera/channels

Channels are instances of the same area on the same server to boost performance in crowded areas. This means if a mob is missing in one channel, it may be alive and well in another. You are able to change channels in all open world zones with the exception of certain locations. I don't know if it would work in Wrothgar, because Tera doesn't support it in capital cities. I don't know if that is a limitation or design choice.

I know the idea of megaservers is to keep many players on the same server. But maybe this is working against them in some cases. I am not trying to advertise Tera. But perhaps if ZoS added channels to ESO and made you by default pop in the low population channel many cases of lag and overcrowding would be lessened. Then if your performance is smooth you can go into a high population channel.

Gw2 has a system option that moves you to a different area if an area is too un-populated.

    Megaserver system
Players will no longer be segregated into separate copies of a map based on their home world selection. Instead, all players will be placed into shared copies (instances) of the map, which will be instantiated as necessary to hold the current population of that map.
Overflow shards will no longer exist.
Maps are still region-based, i.e. North American servers are separate from European servers.
Upon entering a map, players will be placed in the copy of the map based on a set of heuristics which includes your party, guild, language, and home world. This will dramatically increase the chance that you will be placed in the same map as your party and guildmates, or other players who speak your language.
The initial roll-out will affect PvP lobbies and low population maps.[6] This will allow the system to be tested on low population densities before being introduced to high population maps such as cities and popular spots for farming or events.
The roll-out of the megaserver system was completed on April 21st, 2014.

Does ZoS have anything similar to these systems in place? I am unaware if they do or not.

There is something similar in Aion, if channels can solve the problem. Why not? Something is definilty wrong and with all the bugs, lag is the most annoying thing, like ever. A smooth experience is to be excepted when you play on consoles, it's not like we should upgrade our hardwares, get a new graphic card or something...

If population is the main reason causing the lag, something should be done about it. If it can help with the performance issues, give us the option to hide the vanity pets of other players, they're pointless and noisy.
