I played Nintendo 64.
We played all the games.
If a game was too hard or angered us way to much we just tossed it out and enjoyed the games that gave us fun.
We didn't voice ourselfs in forums.
Life was simple.
We all ways bought the lastest games.
I think we sould all use the old morrals from years gone by if ESO angers or is unplayable don't be a baby and cry on a webpage because your not on the company pay roll its not your website. Just toss the bloody game out. There are loads of games that E3 just told us about go buy a replacement.
Lets all have some commonsense about this take action not words.
remember just missing things? before wiki's when strategy guides were rare but fricken glorious.
JRPG's were actually good.
games were sold complete and didn't have DLC.
playing single player missions with friends co-op was multiplayer.
the only forms of cheating were screen peeking.
don't get me wrong there was terrible things back in the day (oddjob and proxy mines in goldeneye anyone?), but games had a lot of soul back then before they were used as a tool to make money first and a good game second.

And they had an actual manual - often 80 pages or more. My partner is collecting older games in their original box - I have seen some of those manuals, they were awesome in the past.

Maybe you should leave the forums and go back to your old morals. Instead of coming here and crying like a baby about people who are voicing thier concerns about a game they enjoy. This is what the second thread you have made with the exact same topic?
Games then were also fixed. You bought it and it stayed as it was. This game is not fixed, it changes often. A character made 2 years ago is completely different today than it was then. They also only involved 1-4 players. It's a bit different when you start talking about an MMO.

Absolutely, and don't forget the maps we had too!

First MMOS were all sub-based so you could imagine people were complaining all the time on boards cause they felt entitled to as paying customers. Guess what ? No.
Different times, different generations of "gamers" I guess.

OP you're kidding yourself a bit I'm sorry. People most certainly did complain about problems back then, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with complaining about problems in games
Now can we as a community please stamp out these pretentious and deluded "back in my day" threads
