Here is the good side of forums.
I must point out the goodness that's on this website.
There is way to much ESO bashing going on.
    1. News & Website Article Discussions this is ESO sharing good latest news.
    2. Patch Notes & Hotfixes this is ESO giving you updates on what they have currently fixed in response to all your complaining.
Players in this forum need to start sharing what they love about ESO so they can encourage others to adopt this as a new game and to encourage older players to keep enjoying the ESO experience.

Whats a "Good thing" to say about gameplay? Oh I know!

I "love" that the game has a potential to crash every step of the way literally.

Also I "love" the mount training system! Oh how "fun" is it waiting for a mount to be trained by 1 every day.

Oh lets not forget the skyshards finding them for all characters is so "fun" man!

Obviously a relatively new player that doesn't deal with the dashboards and crashes as often as many do.

You may not be jaded yet... But it'll happen. Maybe with the next update. You're going to feel a bit silly for kissing their poop chute as much as you are. Then again it was only yesterday that you were blaming Microsoft for all of the issues.

[snip] They're not doing a good job, they do not deserve a pat on the back. It's one of the worst performing MMO's of our generation and that needs to be spread around before people buy more crowns.

As a PC user I have to say I'm pretty happy with the game overall.

I should play more and forum less.

The current influx of negative threads are a good sign to ZOS that the game needs a change, dramatically.

If it serves this purpose, I tell myself the following everytime I run into an issue with ESO:

"Oh this is lame, ah well, this is just because Zenimax Online had to have a framework of an MMO to put THE ELDER SCROLLS into it, and they had to have it out and look for support to help them IMPROVE their ORIGINAL PLANS, that are to make the utterly great Elder Scrolls game of all, taking every bit of lore available, every single little bit of it, and having it inspire a massive multiplayer game WITHOUT DISTORTING the franchise.

So, right now, the game is an MMO, but this is going to change, this is going to become a truly
The Elder Scrolls once they take every clichè out of it and put LORE, take every piece of original content found into TES games and put them into ESO, to finally rename it to THE Elder Scrolls Online, because right now it feels like Online Massive MMO clichè game kids friendly and OH, there is also elder scrolls on it come grab you bite for just $$$$$$$"

You truly know the history of this franchise.
I just wish you slowed down to explane some more information for people like me who have forgotten the great history of how all Zos games link together. I personaly would welcome a good history lesson.

Thanks for the reply and last night, after this post I tried to elaborate the most concerning aspects of what I consider "distorting" or maybe better put, but to better present my point, and to pay tribute to the "good side of the game" intent the thread calls upon, I'd rather invert the argument and present the features that belong to the TES franchise and are quite welcome to Elder Scrolls Online first:

    - Your character starts as a prisoner,
    - the character is the actor of a "visionary dream" some of the people you meet had and the subject of a prophecy(clichè but fine)
    - The story is built around a daedric invasion and threat,
    - (unfortunately) it is somewhat strange that people trying to maximize their character have to inflict damage to the whole character concept forcing their thieves and mages to wear heavy armor, for instance(this is something that also annoyed me in previous games) just to further advance in levels and power.

Well now I'd like to point out features that are quite known in the previous games and are still missing from ESO:

    - revamp of the class system: being locked into classes hurts the mechanic found in other titles and limits your character customization, leaving spells and abilities unavailable to you(not entirely bad, I welcome core decisions but I'd rather have your character to perform a quest line to be able to use other classes powers and/or do so with penalties like to make Dark Magic(sorcerer) skill line available to Nightblades you have to pay double skill points to activate one ability and also give up at least one of your class skill lines.

    - a more lore-friendly class system: this is something that would really pay tribute to the TES franchise. Keep it to the lore and bring back Spellsword, Barbarian, Rogue, Witchhunter etc making them skill lines(maybe passives) much like how the fighters guild, undaunted or legerdemain skill line work - but make it something you have to choose upon character creation, and that can be changed along the game only through a quest line.

    - schools of magic: even though one can argue that at this point of the history only the first steps regarding a mages guild and overall magic research were taken, still the spell usage is quite different from other the games,

    - Jail system, where you have to either spend your time and lose some character progress or break out,
    - Arena: this is coming we just don't know yet when it will be available.

I think what is really frustrating is the fact, that on one side the game is awesome with high quality - and then in other aspects it is so mediocre or neglected to a point, where it is not fun to play the related content. I can fully understand that the crowd in Cyrrodil is dissatisfied, well that is putting it mildly I guess, they are so frustrated, that some do not even play anymore, but are now forum warriors, waiting for a change - which might never happen or not into the direction, they would want it to go.

My impression is meanwhile, that they do not even try anymore to fix Cyrrodil - but just sit it out, until the situation will solve itself - if enough leave, the problems will be nearly gone and there is no need to fix anything anymore. But if they are still "working on it", they do it in the wrong way - they expect wonders from the tech team, while the game would just need a new lead combat designer, willing to adapt the combat mechanics to what is technically possible, instead to spam it with more and more AoE effects and mechanics, which basically forces people to do combat in zergs - what is the worst case scenario.

Here is the problem - and it is a management problem - some people need to be fired and replaced by guys, who actually can do the job on hand and have a deeper understanding of the math behind combat mechanics and what effect it has on performance. I cannot see that Mr. Wrobel would have any clue about this - none at all, otherwise he would not create a system, which is favoring a player behavior, which lets them create zergs and mass spam AoE - this is just plain bad.

Look some of this isn't really good like the crown store stock for example. I have no words to say for my displeasure about how this doesn't make sense its like the second time this yeah they abandoned "permanent items" instead this makes them all limited might aswell slap limited on all of them. Its not really the good side sure some good things come out of those but every fix seems to break something else in the game.

I have a slight suspicion that this is going on right now, but maybe not exactly for the people that usually take all the stones.
