Just announced on ESO live. You will be able to trade BoP items like monster helms and set pieces with group members in dungeons and trials when Update 11 goes live.

I will be very excited to share this information will my guild if this is true. I am hesitant right now because they have seemed so resistant to anything to make like easier for the group.

We have been running Crypt of Hearts every night to get a helm for one of our members... He has none, the rest of us have small collections already...

They definitely said exactly that on ESO live, that's about as official as it gets.

They addressed it and, while not giving specifics, said that they have new procedures going into effect very soon and that permabans would be given to anyone caught using external hacking programs.

@SolarCat02 Its official... they just announced it on ESO live! It will be on PTS next week & in the patch notes.

My heart dropped a bit when they said all the new sets are BoP...

And then it sprung up in joy when they mentioned this! WOOHOO!!

Patch notes will be up next week when they release Update 11 on the PTS. They also mentioned race rebalancing changes are also in Update 11, to go along with the barbershop. And dying costumes will be free to subs and use predetermined dye pattern tokens purchased from the crown store for non-subs.

Are Undaunted Monster pieces somehow more special?
They are BoP.

Not to mention that the Cyrodill Golden vendor already lowered the rarity and value of Monster sets drastically, even if divines cannot be bought.

Since DB it is RNG whether the vendor sells infused or divines piecies for gold

2: Solo it and grab weapon in the chest
3: Trade it to friend in the group
4: ???

@Minute_Waltz No. You only get to share with group members who are inside the instance with you when the boss dies. So Maelstrom is totally excluded.

Why should you not group up with a player willing to sell his drops? The loot is personal so it's not like you're losing anything.

God damn, thank goodness I'm not that into costumes anyway, I like making my own look. This is kind of ridiculous though, dyeing anything in this game should be free for everyone to just use the dye table and do whatever combination of colors they want (that they've unlocked). This token thing for nonsubs is just straight-up nonsense, I'm just glad that this doesn't effect me in the slightest or I'd honestly be very pissed off right now.

I bought a few costumes a while back when I was having trouble getting a look I liked (problem solved since) and ended up not even wearing them because the colors were all wrong. If I was still wearing those costumes and found out this BS about dyeing them with tokens for non-subs, I'd be absolutely livid. I will not be subscribing under any circumstances (sudden cash windfall notwithstanding), I've already gone all-in buying things directly, amd I'm getting sick of ZOS trying to undermine that decision and the money I've already spent by giving ESO+ members things that should be free for everyone.

This not effecting me is a near miss, but the precedent it sets along with Crafting Bags being exclusive makes me extremely concerned for the future of this game. Non-subs are NOT second-class citizens, we don't pay as much so we don't get as much but there's a line and ZOS is looking like they want to cross it and officially relegate anyone not subbed to being a second-class citizen for the remainder of this game's lifespan, where it's a given that we'll get less of everything from every activity, and that's just messed up.

If ZOS was going to relegate us to being such, then they should have given us a disclaimer saying as much before we opted to buy things directly with what was perceived as an alternative but largely equivalent payment method, so long as they keep wanting our money they should be acting like it, and making us feel like second-class citizens just makes us want to take our money elsewhere. There needs to be a balance, ESO+ members should always get more but people buying things directly still need to get nice things too, and if too many nice features are ESO+ it just puts people off the game more than makes them want to subscribe.
