Do you think they should put the crafting bag in the crown store for 4000 crowns ? I do, as I can't afford a sub. every month...

No. You can buy it for $15 a month (£7 in the UK), that is the price.

No, there is a need for incentives to sub. And ZoS did actually a good job with this one.

The crafting bag is really amazing. A real game changer. Which is why it would be un-wise of them to allow people access to it without subbing.

As a subscriber though, I would not be against a version that can be bought outright.

    While I personally don't care.

They have said repeatedly even with much public outcry and condemnation it is an ESO plus perk and will be that way for the foreseeable future.

If you have the capacity to make a 4000 crown purchase you have the capacity to once a month spend $20.

How and where you choose to spend your money is your decision and yours alone but the ability exists for you to sub even if you choose not to and on the more bad news front even if they were to sell the craft bag in the crown store 4K is a pipe dream.

They charge 4K for a black kitty that craps blue lightening and 5 K for a personal banker and merchant that realistically is only good for 100% up time of minor force when by yourself or in a bad group, for the craft bag you could double ithat price and would only still be at the starting point.

You know 4k crowns costs more than a month of ESO Plus right? Plus if you want to just store what you have then get ESO Plus for that one month and don't renew it. You won't be able to put anymore into it but you can with use what's there.

I would like a lite version where I can get the crafting bag, but not the DLC's. I know that sounds strange, but I don't want them just yet. I don't want my crafting writs to move or new NPC's chasing me down to go somewhere I don't want to be.

No NPCs chase you down, they have fixed Shuga so she stays around the wayshrine (I have several characters that have not started Orsinium yet, and I promise you, she no longer chases you around).

No. If they introduce a lesser form of bag on the Crown Store some time later that's fine (probably at not less than 10K), but the present bag was intended to be exclusive for subscribers and should remain so.

Okay how about this, add a 1500 Crown store option to buy another limited account wide bank tab that starts at 60 slots and can be upgraded like the first bank tab. In total that will give players up to another 240 bank slots, for a potential 480 total bank slots.

How is that stating 4000 Crowns purchase as a "free rider" when he's obviously paying money for it?

instead paying 4K Crowns one can subscribe just for a month and shuffle all tons of crafting ingredients to the bag, after cancelling subscription won't be able to add more but all of sudden bank and all the mules will be empty.
Why people are so allergic to subscribe, preferring to pay much more in single payments but clinging to status free to play...

I get both sides of this and it doesn't really matter to me that much either way. I will say this... there are other f2p MMO's out there (specifically on console) that without a sub you can't access more than $1500 worth of in game currency (2k if you have bought at least $5 worth of stuff from their market) and it escrows the rest. Which is honestly the main reason I don't play it anymore. At least on ESO they aren't doing that AND they give you crowns to boot. If you really wanna spin it right you could say that the ESO Plus is a bonus for buying 1500 crowns since the cost is the exact same. So sub or don't. Be happy with what you have now cuz it could be WAY worse than taking up bank/mule character space.

Your not seeing the big picture here ppl. We're talking about the different between a one time payment that will make them money and not BEING ABLE TO MAKE MONTH TO MONTH SUBS. Who are you to decide if I can afford a sub. all the time just because I stated 4000 crowns for a permanent crafting bag.

I can predict in-store items costs and save up my money for stuff In the crown store. It's unpredictable for me do to low income to know if I will even have the money month to month for a sub. and get to use the crafting bag. I buy the add-ons so I have them all the time because I know I will sooner or later not have the funds for a sub.

The hole point of any store is to make it to where players have options between sub. stuff and permanent things in-game. not everybody can afford a sub. month to month for many reasons, like having kids to feed. the lake of consideration for others is astonishing from a spices that wants to continue to exist in the future when they can't even be respectful in a game...

Well if you want it and can afford it, why don't you just pay for it? I am on low income too, but I find paying a sub is far more reliable way of ensuring I get new content than buying crowns and paying for it - it's easier to budget for £7 a month than buying content.

Op you opened a can of worms here. There are tons of threads about this topic all with the same opinon and response, they will never put the crafting bag in the crown store, no matter how much people ask for it. And if they do, (which they wont, but IF) it would not be 4000crowns... put that up to 10.000 maybe given that one npc costs you 5.000.

I can see your point but you have to agree that there should be an incentives to commit to subscribe right?
So far we lacked such incentives. This perk with crafting bag is not any game breaking one, we lived for 2 years without and ZOS made right decision to offer it as a thank you for your commitment little life improver.
If they would just turn it into another product on the shelf to buy for crowns what would be the point of subscribing?
Like someone mentioned here, ESO is the least restrictive MMO for free riders on the market but there will be still people demanding everything, nothing's gonna change that I'm afraid.

I fully accept that not everyone can afford everything in life, and I entirely respect your circumstances. However, the modern obsession with "instant gratification" isn't the answer, rather it's a case of all of us accepting that we have to live within our means and not expect to get everything we want when we want it. Just because you can't afford something now doesn't mean it must be made available to you now for a lesser amount. It's something for you to aspire to when your circumstances improve.

If, however, it were to be made available in the Crown Store then there's no way it would be priced below 10,000 crowns given the existing price of inventory and bank slots. That would, however, represent a massive breach of faith to subscribers and I don't see it happening, although a lesser form of the crafting bag may be made available some way down the line, again probably not under 10,000 crowns.

I have both a subscription account and a non-subscription account, so not all my characters benefit from the crafting bag. It's useful certainly, but it's definitely not essential. I have no intention of subscribing on my second account just to get it.

Big picture=you want a huge benefit for a small price. Not gonna happen, because ZOS wants subs and I bet they got a lot more subs due to this new feature.

If it costs something like 20.000/25.000 crows I'd think it's not an unfair price for a one-time purchase of a crafting bag... anything less is too little. Bear in mind that subscribers get 18.000 crows per year if they always subscribe, and you would access the bag for all years to come.

Yes. Looks like enough incentive to me for someone whom needs incentive to purchase subs... Seeing as $14.99 is what we pay for that amount of crowns alone. That technical makes everything else free for subscribers. Long before the crafting bag was applied...

Except it's no real incentive if you don't like cosmetic junk. I have more or less 25k crowns saved for the simple reason that none of the pets/costumes appeal to me much, mounts and motifs can be bought for gold in game, and consumables can be crafted with game stuff. Yes I have been a subscriber for a long time...

Agree with the opinions regarding the crafting bag being exclusive to subscriptions. Not everything is (nor should be, IMO) available via the Crown Store that is available with a subscription- so it's the one bonus subscribers get for doing so.

Had the business model been introduced without subscription from the beginning- it would be a different scenario... but that deceased horse has also been flogged enough as well.

Personally, I'm still a little peeved that they made all the original items available via the Crown Store that were introduced with the Imperial Edition at release. IMO there should have been something exclusive that wasn't available to everyone else who came along years later, but oh well.

Warm and fuzzies will have to suffice.
TL;DR - If you got this far without reading the entire post you're either too lazy or suck at reading comprehension and probably don't belong in a public forum anyway. Just move along, you wouldn't understand.

I paid less for the DLC buying them with crowns than I would as a subscriber. Subscription is worth it for the crafting bags or for 1500 crown return if you buy a lot of cosmetics, but if you want only the DLC, you're better off with one-time payments.

To OP: if you don't like budgeting $15 every month, consider getting a 6 month sub. It's cheaper and close enough to a one-time purchase, I think.
