Maintenance for the week of January 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – January 6
• NA megaservers for maintenance – January 8, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 8:00AM EST (13:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – January 8, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 13:00 UTC (8:00AM EST)

And again maintenance during daytime.......

There has been a notice for server maintenance for 3 days on the forums. You had plenty of notice and they pick said times because those are the lower peak hours. Every game company does this and it is something us the player need to get use to.

We dont pay to "get use to" We pay to play. And doing maintenance in EU prime time (or atleast at the same time with NA) is let say unprofessionall.

At what time (GMT) would you have them perform maintenance?

Fact : No matter when they do this some people will be impacted. Night shift workers, insomniacs and new parents will moan if its overnight. "Office workers" moan if its in the evening, work shy benefit mongers moan if its during the day, stay at home carers moan if its during the day, home workers will also moan if its during the day, retired people just like to moan about everything and anything

You get the point, suck it up and do something else for a bit.

By your logic they might as well not warn about down time at all and just do it whenever they feel like it.
I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying there needs to be order. 6AM EU would've been better than 11 BST. Chances are there are a whole lot more people online during that time than in the early AM (3-6AM for example).

And by your logic, ZoS employees should have to come into work at 3 o'clock in the morning to appease a bunch of entitled video game nerds. I totally support ZoS employees living "normal" hours.

That is not what I'm saying at all don't misinterpret just to make a point. That's what I was saying as well, however we do know that performing maintenance during more sensible hours is possible, which means they have or had a division that performed EU maintenance during the night.

They can copy from Blizzard. Both EU and NA maintenance time. More than 11 years and all happy

Your argument is a non sequitur. Today's maintenance schedule was during the AM in the USA. Unless you're implying that maintenance is being done from the EU, ZOS employees are already working 'at 3 o'clock in the morning'.

We dont mind maintenance. We mind bad time to do so And dont teach me how to MMO m8 :D Or going down at the same time both NA and EU seems normal to you? It looks like same team do both maintenances or night shifts are to expensive for ZoS to aford. And there are enough games which ZoS can copy from. Get WoW for example. And yes there always be unhapy customers but they can reduced to minimum.

Thank you ZOS for really fast maintenance this time, it was less than 3 hours :).

I would hope ZOS look at the concurrent users at any given time and base their maintenance around this!

It would seem though the last two have been done at the same time as the NA server for some reason.

Is it because you sold 7 milion copies that you feel so comfortable about wasting our playing time???

They didn't "sell" 7 million copies. They had 7 million people create unique accounts. This includes the free week during the $1,000,000 giveaway which helped them REALLY pad those numbers for E3. ;)

It will be interesting to see actual units sold numbers from their financials versus this 7 Million number from E3.

NO. They specifically said that that week-end was NOT included. L2Read.

By their definition, the number of accounts created cannot be higher than copies sold. (However, there could have been more copies sold than accounts created).

But those aren't NORMAL hours for people who live OUTSIDE the United States. Quit being so bloody geocentric in your thinking.

ZOS needs to do something about maintenance times for not only the EU, but the new JA server as well. They need to stagger those maintenance times to not coincide with the Prime Times of those specific servers. No one is talking about having ZOS change maintenance times on the NA server to cater to people out of North America playing on our server. They have decided to enter the International marketplace, and so they flat out need to cater to those markets on those foreign servers. For maintenance purposes, they need separate teams. One for each server. On maintenance days, and there aren't that many, those employees are staggered in and out throughout the day and night in order to start and finish server maintenance during the off hours of each of the three server markets.

ZOS, could you please schedule the NA Server's next maintenance during US prime time play? I live here. It would impact me. But it needs to be done just to shut up people who believe the world revolves around our 4 Time Zones. Just once. Thank you.

    @NinjaApacHe

At what time (GMT) would you have them start maintenance?

Mainenace for EU servers has been very often at 3 GMT.
