If you are going to continue to do essential EU maintenance at the same time as the US Server then you need to list this as such in the Server Maintenace Schedule. A lot of people old enough to play the game are on School/Semester breaks this week here so linking in with US times is unhelpful. What is also unhelpful is the rerponse on the EU server that you can only provide a help for technical assistance based on US time zones. Perhaps you need to employ more people instead of limiting your flexibility to one time zone only?

I am honestly pretty pissed by this. Sure this is perfect time for NA players but those living in EU are screwed and even more those that live in Asia, Australia (my guess). Maintenance used to be at around 3am, why did that change so stupidly? Do you even value your EU player base? Well you should, there is more of us than on NA. Lack of support, maintenance during the day is really not gonna make your fans to sub, rather make people unsub. @ZOS_JessicaFolsom

This isn't about the OP. This is about the EUROPEAN server being brought down during daytime, contrary to what ZOS have been doing for the most of 2 years. Yes, it will always be daytime for someone. But it's the EUROPEAN server (so it would probably be good practice to schedule stuff around European times) and it's a DIFFERENT schedule than ZOS have used in the past. Try to wrap your head around that before posting.

The maintenance shouldn't be done during dayime, and it should be pushed during night hours or atleast give us timeframes so we can schedule around it.

As for those people that say "It is always daytime or primetime somewhere" well this is not somewhere. This is EUROPEAN megaserver, not World server, not International or Global server, it is European server so the time table that matters is the one for countries in Europe not in Asia or Australia or Africa. I do understand that this sounds insensitive but it is the truth it is even in the name of the megaserver.

Maintenance is a necessity, and no matter when they do it will always effect someone's play time, I think I read some where they plan the maintenance at a time when the population is the lowest. Not much else they can do.

North america and european servers are down, so yes there is a "day time night time somewhere issue"
and for those crying about EU server beeing down, this shut down is made for us, because if you play the game in english you might not have noticed it, but in french german and probably all other "exotic" language, quest text is "goodbye" item set is "ring" "necklace", hell, I haven t done a single DB quest for 1 week

Explain to the "EU whiners" exactly why those fixes - if these things are being fixed today - couldn't be pushed during night time as usual for the EU server. Every maintenance is for the whole of the player base. That has nothing to do with a randomly changing regular maintenance schedule, which is what's being discussed here.

EDIT: Why randomly start chaning our maintenance times to very random? Because they suit NA better? I understand if they need to bring EU down because of shared login server, but then atleast announce it?

Last patch basically screwed the pooch for dailies and failed to fix the bug with LFG tool on top of inifite loading screens.

I have no faith in ZoS addressing them in this patch because.... well there failure rate is astounding to say the least.

But I prefer an early maintenance to try and fix this mess.

Quite frankly they nuked my long weekend with *** poor quality launch and am not happy with them would be an understatement.

Well during night time, there are even fewer players online? Most students are starting to be on break at this time of year anyway. A lot more players at this time of day. It would certainly annoy far less of the playerbase if it was done during EU nighttime.

It would annoy me - because this is my time to play - night time is where no one is interrupting me and I can play in peace.

Edit.: lecture free time in university is not meant to be vacation time - it is the time where you study on your own and do some practical work in the field of your study. Those who use that for vacation will not get very far with their study - just my experience, a lot drop out sooner or later, because they wasted their time instead to study and get their master degree done.

Consider yourself lucky you don't live here in Australia, maintenance always and I mean always falls in prime evening time, you have nothing to complain about.

I'm European but live in Asia and yeah this advance does mean I'm paying for a server 6 days out of 7. Guess it's off to bed now and wake up just after midnight if I want a play. Looks like a big jug of coffee tonight. I accept I'm in the minority and live with my hardship. The upside as Aussies also know is we get a lot of the game to ourselves, it comes as a shock come the weekend when I see a train of players going through dungeons, but they all still miss the treasure chests. Mara bless you all.

I like that as well, when I play at european night time - finally dungeons are not stripped from their mobs and I have to fight something, instead to walk just through it to get to the quest target - at prime time doing such things is just not that fun.
