The metal is a color. The sword is also that color. Pretty immersion breaking to have a sword made of ruby red metal that isn't ruby red.

So you don't like choice, or options? I understand the name of the metal, I just don't understand their constant effort to make the colours so wild and strange.

Now you're putting words in my mouth. I simply mean it's not that big of a deal.

What colour would you consider as bad? I guess my argument is, would you enjoy your weapons completely coated in it with no choice otherwise? It might not be a big deal to you, but it seems for a lot of people it is. It's a shame, with armour and now shields possible to be dyed, it feels like an optional feature that would benefit people greatly.

If the armor appears to be leather its brown, Ill add some more vibrant dyes in for particular clothes like Caius has a rich red clothe gear. But generally I try to stick true to what would be a little more realistic to the setting.

the colors vary when said materials are tempered or hardened through the processing.

How utterly boring... I mean, i will never dye anything bright pink and purple, but keeping leather poo-brown and a sword in grey is way too dark-ages uninspiring to me personally. But hey - if that's your thing..

Red weapons fit the setting - unless you think the setting is medieval Europe, in which case uh, wrong game? But this is Tamriel and you forged your weapons from a red metal. Nothing inherently wrong with that concept.Korah_Eaglecry wrote: »Id still prefer to stick to silvers and steel colors.
