Just as college ends it comes out, so they all have to go back home.

Well, one time I saw a movie by myself and it was probably the best experience I've had.

Just to be clear it's based on Warcraft, not World of Warcraft.

    Same diff.The same races,same Orcs,etc.

Same universe, different time period. No draenei, worgen, pandas, or any other dlc race implemented in WoW.

    Draenei are in the movie.

Now I really cant wait till this weekend.

I never read the synopsis for the film, as I intended to see it. Everything I read stated it was based on Warcraft, WoW's predecessor. I just read the synopsis, and it reads as if it were pulled straight from WoW's Burning Legion expansion. I stand corrected. Seems it should have been titled World of Warcraft instead.

I think they meant to keep the title shorter.I know that the main actor, the human,is Travis Fimmel, who plays Ragnar in the TV series Vikings,so I look forward to this. Also,I love those huge Orcs.I just wish ours in ESO were as big as they are supposed to be,but they're no bigger than humans.

    Cuz they're elves

No.We have ORCS,.."along" with our Elves. They arent supposed to be Elves.XD

    ES Orcs are elves. Orsimer.

Ok,so what. They are supposed to be larger than the other races still. In any game I have played that has Orcs,ESOs are the smallest.

I agree they should be bigger as in more muscular, seeing as they are more primal in nature, but not bestial like other games, because it's not really what they are

That depends on who created Orcs in games first. It wasnt ESO.In earlier games they were bigger. What they are is what they were made to be.A Big and powerful race.Almost bestial, though intelligent.Very intelligent, but close to bestial.

If they would allow me to write the script and direct it, you'd best make some shelf space for some Oscars.

Some reason ES decided to do something different and make them elves, and then have them punished, altering their appearance to what the Orsimer are now. Descendants of elves. Not sure why they went this route but it's cannon now. Too much of a change would have fans up in arms over it.

    Here's the script.

    [Scene Opens Over Cyrodil]
DK: And then I says, "Well at least she's a Dwemer!"
    Other: "AHAHAHAHAHA!"
DK: I know right? And...what's that?
    ****SPEEEEEED HAAAACK*****
    *whack whack whack*
    DK: OMG! SPLOITS!
Templar: L2P noob! Your build sucks!
    DK: Reported.
Templar: Lol! Go ahead! Like they're even paying attention!
DK: Oh great Zenimax, strike down these cheaters!
    ...
    ...
    DK: Zenimax? ZENIMAX!
    Zenimax: *snnnkkkx* Huh...whut?
DK: I said strike down these cheaters!
    Templar: Strike me down!
    Zenimax: Uhm...do I have to?
    DK: YES!
Zenimax: Gah...why do I have to do it?
    DK: ...really?
Zenimax: It's not like I don't have better things to do.
DK: You're the god of the realm! You're supposed to inflict grievous bodily harm to all who disobey your will!
Templar: Yes! Inflict grievous bodily harm upon me!
Zenimax: *yawn* Too much work. Besides, it looks like that freak would enjoy it.
DK: That's not the point! You can't let cheaters run around in the world without any consequences!
    Zenimax: Why not?
DK: Because then everyone will cheat!
Zenimax: And if everyone is cheating?
    DK: Well....
    Templar: *giggle*
Zenimax: Exactly. If everyone cheats, then the playing field is level. I don't have to do the whole almighty god smiting thing. I don't have to implement global martial law. I don't have to play little mortal mommy watching over all you ungrateful wretches. You mortals can continue to run around here pretending to be important, and I can move on to more godly endeavors.
    DK: But...
Templar: Sounds like a win-win to me.
Zenimax: The little shiny one gets it. Now unless you have a burnt offering, preferably a steak and some mead, go kill each other like you're supposed to and stop nagging me.
    DK: But...
    Templar: Best god ever!
    DK: I hate you.
Zenimax: Yeah, I'm all torn up about it. Are we done here? I need to go fill a waterfall in the Rift if you know what i mean.
    DK: You....
Templar: Oh shut up and respawn already. I need to nail you with infinite meteors a couple more times so I reach my AP quota.

That's why nearly every single video game adaptation movie has failed.

    1. I dont listen to critics.I use my own mind to rate a movie.I dont rely on someone else to tell me what I will or will not like.
    2. I find the trailers for ESO are fine and worth caring about.

Not much of a stretch to imply they got the idea from Tolkien. His Orcs were tortured Elves. As an aside, he ultimately rejected that idea as he didn't like it but never settled on an alternative. Here's a few links for anybody whose mind is blown like mine was.

Ive suggested they should go to TV-series instead, basically follow Game of Thrones when it ends, TV-series are more suitable for Bethesda imho, TV-series is way better for their budget, not to mention there isnt any big player yet, well everything happens via HBO, but anyway, shortly said not so much competition. Elder Scrolls could really rock it after Game of Thrones, just the races alone could make it so much better.

Good info. Didn't really get into Tolkien. I was kinda irritated with the rings movies. Too much walking. Should have got someone to spring for some horses or something. Those huge birds would have made for a short trilogy. I mean, even the trees walked.

Edit: Warlords of Draenor expansion. Forgive me I am at work.

It's all Warcraft. Should Hearthstone be "Heroes of Warcraft" or "Heroes of World of Warcraft"?

I am impressed they were able to get an average rating of 27 on Metacritic. That puts the movie in elite company.

I'll only watch it if the battles are shot in 5 frames per second and the movie shuts off at random intervals. It wouldn't feel real otherwise.

I agree with a TV series would be better perhaps looking at the different provinces within different series like in trek star trek series looking in depth into different lives.
    - Level 36 - Nord - Nightblade - Ebonheart Pact - EU -
    - Wood worker/ Clothier - Archer/2H -
    - Unattired Elven Dancers -

I would love to see a movie made of Elders scroll. I think it could happen in the not-so-distant future if ES gets the same level of publicity as WoW. Same with Assassin's Creed. I think the AC movie is about to come out. It took a long time and many versions of AC, but seems it received the appropriate publicity and popularity.
