Eidetic Memory Bugs/Comments/Help

I had „Letter to Zerith-Var“ in my quest inventory but couldn‘t interact with it before relogging. Reloading or restarting the quest didn‘t help. I had to logout and login again to read it.

Has anyone talked about the lorebook 'Inventory Letter'? it's from one of Zerith's story quest eidetic memory (https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Inventory_Letter) but it's not in my journal. readable but cant be 'found' like a normal lorebook would

Yes, it's also in the first locked area for his first quest. It stays glowing (unread) and has no entry in lorebooks, but it also in his post-quest location with all his other books (except Letter To).

Cancel the first quest, if it's not finished yet. Then u can restart it per activate Tanlorin out of the collections/companions menu (letter is in inventoy again, too). When the first quest is finished, i don't know if or where to find the letter.

I finished Tanlorin’s quests, but still missing Tanlorin’s Bird Note. I checked my inventory consistently but never saw this?

You have to engage in dialogue with her after interacting eith the bird, and only after clicking soecific options doe it appear in your quest bag,l. Stupidly easy to miss

isn't this the whole point of making new lore/stories? I just finished Tanlorin's whole story quests in one go because i like to immerse myself to the stories. i enjoyed myself and took my time and always remember to check around, only to find that i have missed a few lorebooks anyway. it just felt incomplete. being full alert of keeping track of lorebooks ruins the flow and enjoyment of doing quests. and sadly my brain cant do both, being alert and being immersed

i know this is just venting and doesnt add any help or value to other players but yeah..

I genuinely don't know why "post-quest book location" isn't something they factor in. Is the game going to explode if anyone actually has a completed Eidetic Memory?

Can someone please remember me where is the post-quest location for Zerith var ? I finished all his quests but I can't remember where it is. I'd like to go there to check some books for a friend of mine... Thank you in advance

His shrine is near Moonmont in Reapers March. There should be players going to it from the wayshrine, just follow them.

If the lorebooks you are missing in Companions Correspondence are like the ones I show you in the two images, you can be sure that you are only missing those related to Tanlorin's quests.

(sometimes they are flagged as unread again after patches - just reread them)


The other books are bugged, as far as i know.

Gleaner's claim youneed to group with a friend and port to them on that part of the main storyline to get to. It's been discussed in earlier posts on here if you want to look back.

Normally on other Char u can get this for free Its just a Room. On Main-Character, my bad, yes, u need to pay Gold

Bought the room iirc, and it's hanging besides Lepida Russo's room. I guess it's mainquest related. Can't remember seeing it hanging there before finishing The Untraveled Road and accept Ithelia's Fury. Can be related to a side quest also, because it's speaking of the "new jungle". Don't know exactly.


Same for Journal of Shardmarshal Vargas, i searched for it many times in Beragon's townhouse. Found it after The Untraveled Road, while the first of the extra questline (Ithelia's Fury) was active (and leaving location and coming back later!) on the first floor.

That piece of paper is there from the start, you do not need to buy the room for it to be there, or start any quests. People just often overlook something on the wall, even though it glows.
