Loving the topic and discussion in this thread. We're currently discussing how we could support different color blind modes in ESO for the future. For those of you who are indeed color blind, what kinds of support do you tend to prefer? Some have mentioned just changing telegraph colors, but there are other solutions that could be used to color-correct everything on screen to account for different color-blind conditions (Protanopia, Deuteranopia, Tritanopia). Also, which games have your favorite color-blind support?
Thanks everyone!
Hi Alex, thanks for the reply! It is great you guys are looking at supporting a color blind mode. As a colorblind player, I have yet to find a game that does a perfect job of implementing a colorblind mode, simply because colorblindness is a spectrum and not a simple condition. It is very hard for non-colorblind folk to figure out what each individual sees.
To that end, the BEST solution I can think of is the ability to change the colors of telegraphs via a simple RGB color picker, like the one used for chat colors in the "Social" options tab. This allows each individual to select the best colors for them, and means that you don't have to establish multiple preset options for different kinds of color blindness. I don't know if this poses issues in terms of how the telegraphs are displayed, but I think this would be the best solution for everyone.
EDIT: Oh, and I almost forgot item quality! This is a tougher change since the item colors are actually written in the text in certain places. If you guys could add either a symbol or some text before the item description, that would be great...wouldn't have to mix up green and gold items anymore...

Under your game options you need to add a section for AOE telegraph, then add 4 Sliders to be able to adjust intensity/red/blue/green. It would solve all the problems for us color blind people with out having to add complex options for the various different types of color blindness.
What it should look like:
WARNING COLOR
Intensity: |_____|____________|
Red: |__________|___|
Blue: |_____|________|
Green: |________|_____|
___________________________________________________
^^^^^^^^^^
Not only would this solve the color blindness issue, it would add more customization to the general public.
If you are up to it you can can even do this for the targeting hue.

For me it could be as Simple as Being able to Change the Color code of the circles etc. it's Never been a big deal in Reality, "ever tried playing Eve online as a Red/Green color blind?" But it ensures there are Certain activities that I certainly cannot do.
