Do you like the new combat mechanic changes?

    Just noting that my Stam DK is not liking the shield charge as well, even at Minimum Distance it feels like I am in "charge" for like 3-5 seconds and I'm literally like 2 steps from the enemy, is it working like this with others? Slow to the point that it feels sometimes you're actually watching the *** happen in slow motion?

    The combat system is beautifully designed. The animations are/were beautifully designed. It's the overlay of the two that was always messed up. The solution was never redesign the combat system but simply speed up the animations to match exactly the tooltip of abilities. Note the speed up and not increase time on abilities. Players enjoy a fast pace in games. And while we're at it, bring back run speed and stealth speed please.

    Can anyone report with regards to PvE?? And does anybody think that perhaps some of what you players are experiencing could be attributed to fixes with regards lag??

    To me, a layman albeit, it would make sense to slow down animations in high latency situations in order to process those animations more reliably. As on the one hand people are reporting better performance in Cyro, we have other attesting that all animations, weaving, basically the ability to fire off more processes being reported as feeling forcefully slowed.

    And does it feel the exact same on the lower latency campaigns?? Unfortunately I cant test being a console peasant...

    @ZOS_BrianWheeler would much appreciate a logical explanation.

    I suppose on my end it could be attributed to Lag, using Google fiber and it's never happened before like that but Meh it's possible. I went to shield charge someone last night and they had time inside my charge animation to Cast shuffle and crit rush me out of my charge. all this while I was Melee distance from him bleh, so much for pvp

    Nobody enjoys animation exploiting, you do it because you have to while waiting for the game-developers to fix it.

    Talk for yourself. A lot of people enjoy animation cancelling because it adds a layer of skill while keeping combat highly dynamic.

    As a Stam DK I actually need animation cancelling in PvP for burst damage since I don't have a reliable stamina class ability that can provide such a thing for me. WB used to be something that was reliable but as I play console for my stam DK I currently use dizzing swing to get use to the changes coming up; just played the game on PC and man not sure but my mag dk can't do animation cancells correctly either. My h attacks are overriding my skills and not firing sometimes which is annoying.

    Animation cancelation was an exploit ZOS had put on a low priority of fixing. All i can do as laugh as the serpent eats his tail.

    No one mentioned the sound, but i feel like very often now an anim-cancelled light attack produces no sound, making me wonder if it has landed at all (most times it seems it has from FTC reports)

    Overall slower, sluggish, and less pleasant (didn't vote because of poll wording)

    Edit: I understand they want to make animation-cancel evolute, system isnt perfect as one should always be able to see what he s hit with, but those last changes hurt the playing pleasure, please reverse them.

    I don't like change . Change makes me stupid and uncomfortable .
