Do you like the new combat mechanic changes?

    Yeah, I didn't really notice it so much last night, but today when I spent more time with it it definitely felt less responsive, strange pauses... it just felt clumsy.

    Honestly, it felt a lot like it did two years ago at release. I don't know who hit the "revert to default button" but it needs to be adjusted.

    I play melee dual wield, by the way. And I'm definitely noticing a lack of resources, clumsy combat, and just a general sense of decreased performance across the board.

    And, yes, I've already reallocated my CP.

    I don't like the new system, it feels slower, and worse, less satisfying but the DPS hasn't changed, so regardless of how it feels, it's still the same with only the animation being different, so I guess I could get used to it.

    @NyPetiwowp next time try to make your poll more objective. Remember you are trying to cover both sides of the story equally - not just what you think about it.

    Anyway, combat is a little slower but it feels more controlled - not as wild and unpredictable as before 2.4.

    I hope they keep it this way.

    Yeah, the poll was worded so biasedly I refused to choose an answer, because I dislike the animations and whatnot, but the dislike option is loaded with a bunch of crap I don't agree with.

    Actually I had issues with low skill response times BEFORE the patch (as many other players had), and now they are gone. Gameplay is now smooth for me, not annoying stutter.

    Those changes werent there on PTS? Why do they always upload a diifferent version than the one we are actually TESTING on pts?

    I dunno, but I tried pvp yesterday and i couldnt activate a few skills at all which pissed me off, had to press 4 times crit surge till it actually activated?!

    Those changes might have been on the PTS but my problem with the PTS is that because I'm playing from the EU I always have 200+ ping, so even if I had noticed something weird with the combat and skills, I would have just said: oh ping is too bad to test and to do anything properly, but it should be fine as always on live; seems it isn't :(

    I just picked yes, even though I animation cancel on my Templar's basic rotation, but animation canceling shouldn't have been a thing from the start anyway....

    I had to settle for "yes", though I would have preferred a combination of your answers.

    To me it feels more like what other games do if I try too many actions too quickly, and less like one of Quicksilver's action scenes after the slow-motion is over.

    Weaving seems easier to me, (yeah I'll agree that "sloppy" could be a way to describe it). Doesn't bother me though.

    I guess the other option would have been to add a 10 minute tutorial/practice room for Lyris to instruct new players on the nuances of invisible attacks "feature"... but nah, this feels like a wiser step in the right direction.
    Something being unbalanced in 1v1 does not imply that it is balanced in group play.

    Lol nope still able to kill someone from stealth landing 3 hits in 1 gcd. These changes make the game feel clunky and unresponsive, not something you want in a action based mmo.

    Combat feels fine to me as it is now, I like the pace, and have not noticed sluggish responses. I did notice changes to cost of abilities and actions (like blocking) but I'm fine with that.

    If the question was about "weaving" I cannot answer: I never enjoyed not being able to see my attacks so I did not use those moves.

    yep bollocks they stealth nerfed it, even after all the campaigning to get it reverted last patch. Remove this awful animation prioritization and put it back to how it was -responsive and accurate, rather than clunky and slow executioner feels like its slowed down or something, along with light and heavy attack.. why is pts always sneakily different to when it goes live

    Just from my magicka nb perspective but the combat feels significantly off. Maybe I will get accustomed to it but I really liked the way it was for the most part.

    In general I feel like I am fighting in molasses

    Cripppling Grasp (especially) does not trigger all the time. The range feels different somehow.

    Lotus Fan does not trigger all the time

    light attack + concealed + light attack feels off. Not responsive.

    I think this is a know issue but invisi bats needs 200 ultimate and not 158

    Since I was never really into animation canceling or using macro's, I do not notice any difference.

    The changes were on PTS already, I spent hours of dps testing, comparing different enchantments, traits, sets and weapons just to cancel 3/4 of the fights because I messed up my rotation trying to (re-)apply my dots, I literally had to wait 1-2 seconds for blockade to cast after I canceled the animation of Burning Embers.
    The joke is that you can cancel some animations but not do anything til the animation would have been over. So canceling it makes you not see it but it is still kinda there in the background..
