Looks like this game has become exactly what early adopters feared when the announcement of the sub was changed.....a cash grab for ZOS.

This is just disgusting....4,000 for a mount, 5,000 for each assistant, 5,000 for motif or 2500 and soon to be crafting bag exclusive to ESO Plus.

Its one thing if the game was of high quality but half the time we cant even get online and play without running into multiple existing and new issues.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom , I don't mind the price, but is it too much to ask for the prices of these items to be revealed in advance so we can budget for it? Especially if they are not going to be lining up with the pricing of the previous mounts.

Not revealing the prices is an imoprtant part of their marketing strategy. So I wouldnt expect them to change that.

4,000C for a reskinned Senche-Lioness mount yeah um no when that is 1800 crowns. I mean mounts are overpriced as is the Thieves Guild DLC by itself was 2000 crowns so your telling me that this Dro-m'Athra mount is twice the amount of a whole DLC zone ZOS you guys are bonkers crazy whatever you guys are smoking I want some. No mount in this game should be over 1500 but if dumb kids will by a near 40$ mount that has no improvement over any other mount in the game then why not as they say suckers are born every minute.

Honestly, I can't say I'm surprised.

When I saw so many people on the forums gushing over how "awesome" this new mount is (before it was released), with everyone saying how they "couldn't wait to get it!" etc., I knew things were going to go badly.

Really, you all brought this upon yourselves. When so many people go out of their way to swoon over a reskinned mount, showing far more excitement, anticipation, and desire than for any previous mount, what do you think ZOS is going to do?

I figured it was going to go for more than the typical 2500. I assumed they'd go with the 3000 price point of the ice horse (I think that was the 3000 mount). I even suspected they might "test the waters" by going higher. I honestly wouldn't have been surprised if they made it 5000.

Do I think it's smart to price it this high? Of course not. But given the track record, this is exactly what I expected to happen.

Next time, don't go all gushy-eyed and slobber all over the forums when you see a mount you want coming to the crown store, and maybe they won't try to [expletive deleted] us all on the price.


To ZOS:

Like many others, I wanted to buy this mount. I thought it looked cool. But now I can't. Not because I don't think it's worth it (I don't, but that's not the biggest reason, since I could easily still afford it). I won't buy it because NO ONE thinks it's worth it, and I would actually be ashamed to be seen in public riding it. As you should be, for pricing it this high.

This is completely right. They knew they had a design that people wanted, and they've decided to test the waters to see if they can price future mounts as high as this one. If enough people buy it, well, then look forward to a sea of overpriced sparkly beasties. I really just hope that anyone who has even the tiniest problem with this price point doesn't buy it, even if your eye starts to twitch as the 31st approaches.

Oh... I've been excitedly waiting for this mount for so long. I honestly thought it would just be the same price as the other limited mounts had been, but this.... $40? That's half of my subscription amount.

I am very disappointed and I will pass on it, thanks to this utterly exorbitant price.

Well.. At least thyre giving me something to spend my crowns on... As a subber, ive been sitting on so many crowns its not even funny... Even at this price more than enough people are touting this mount. Imagine if it was 2500... Jeebus rawlkha would be unplayable with all the effects lol... Imo the mount looks a LOT better than the stupid ice horse and ice horse was 3k. I guess its fair that its priced at 4k. 3k-3.5k would have been better though...

Feels like even 3000 would have been pushing it but this is crazy.

Seems like around 2500 should be the limit for stuff like this.

Glad I had crowns from eso plus. I'm only subscribed for the dlcs so the mount was basically free for me. Sometimes I even forget I get crowns out of it

I'm just going to avoid playing until the offer ends. Because despite the outrageous price, it looks super cool, and my favorite part is the summoning animation! Almost makes it worth buying. But nope! I will stick to my principles! I will overcome this!

Next time zos releases a cool mount, get on the forum and say how bad it looks. Then they will sell it for 1800.....lol

I prefer magickal/mystical mounts being both time-limited and expensive, just so I don't see so many of them.

I have the crowns, not buying it, not worth it to me--but I don't want them to be as common as a regular horse, you know?
