After a crash/disconnect, you log back in at your previous location in nMoL. And although I haven't tested nSO, I wouldn't be surprised that it's like that there too.
So with two different behaviors in nMoL vs. vMoL, this is clearly a deliberate decision specifically for scoreboard trials. One that, frankly, baffles me. If you were dead at the time of the disconnect, you would still log in as dead and still require a resurrection. I'm unable to imagine any scenario in which this would provide an unfair advantage to a group.
If you get a chance, could you please comment on this, @ZOS_Finn?
@ZOS_GinaBruno
Are there any plans to allow for players to immediately log in to where they die/dc'ed in trials?
As it stands, if you disconnect be it to server lag, internet issues, crashing... for whatever reason you start back at the beginning entrance to the trial. Compare this to any Veteran or Normal dungeon run where you log back in to where the server last pinged you at. I'm not sure I understand the reasoning for this. You should be able to log back in to where you last were without have to run through the entire trial to catch up to your raid group. I know this can be extremely frustrating for players who live in areas where their ping is high and have consistent crash issues or players like myself who don't always have reliable internet service. The problem with starting at the beginning is you are now making the entire group wait to progress through the trial while you are running back.
I would like to see in a future patch to where you will log in right back to where you left. Anything you can share about this?

If this is intentional it is messed up...
I think it is protection from force-logout, you could dodge some things with re-logging, and lose almost nothing if you do it fast
