Alchemy Snakeblood Passive

With the Introduction of poisons(even if you cut their values in half will still betoo strongin PVP) the Snakeblood Passive from Alchemy needs to work against it.

Simply put, the Snakeblood passive should reduce the effect and duration of all poison effects by 50% with 3 skill points invested in it. 3 Skill points and mastering a crafting profession should confer this benefit.

Even in Skyrim:

the Snakeblood passive granted a 50% resistance to all poison related effects.

Right now the Snakeblood passive doesn't do anything. For balance and lore related purposes this makes sense. Anyone who has 3 points in Snakeblood should have the effects and durations of these poisons cut in half. Make this passive worth using. thank you. :)

    Yeah I thought snakeblood WOULD counter the poisons as per the question from PAX:
    Q12: So, the mechanics of poison if you are playing a race with an innate resistance to poison is the player-owned poison going to be treated the same way as poison from a monster or will there be a reduction in the resistance as far as PvP?

    RL: Umm, I don't know off the top of my head. I know that the snakeblood passive in the Alchemy line actually has an effect on poisons as well so my assumption is that it does but I haven't tested it personally. That's a question I can go back and ask Wrobel.

    But I guess maybe Rich misunderstood? Or something recently changed?

    Right now, Snakeblood is... I would say the most useless skill in this game. Just don't make bad potions - tada! If they allowed it to be useful to counter poisons at least it would become useful in PvP.

    Seriously though, maybe it is supposed to and this is a bug? I'm not sure but it's definitely a good thing to be bring up. Have you also mentioned this in the official thread for poison making?

    I was expecting Snakeblood to be useful in DB patch.

    I'm waiting next PTS to test but it would be nice to see Resist Affliction and Argonian Resistance work against poisons.
    I presume it's just against poison as damage.

    I also hope that the disease and poison resistance for Argonians and Bosmer have/will have value against

    1) poisoned weapons,
    2) new poison morphs for stam DKS, and
    3) new disease morphs for stam NBs.

    Maybe they do, but I haven't had a chance to test this. So, if someone does test this on the PTS would please post the results here? Thanks in advance! :smiley:

    Completely agree that this passive should work against poisons. Idk if 50% is a good number though. Maybe something like 25% would be better imo.
    He's the healer Tamriel deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hurt his tank. Because he can heal them to full. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful rejuvinator. A Cloaked Healer.
