[SOLVED] PTS - Content Write Failed

Yep been having the same problems here as well, tried several wrap around but nothing seems to be working. UGH. Hope this get this working. There are my files as well.

I had major deja vu while reading all these comments. I'm having the exact same problem, over the course of a few days. It's very frustrating. Here are my files.

BTW, "Run as administrator" makes no difference. I still get the same error at the same point in the download.

@ZOS_GinaBruno, just so you know I had another look at the PTS datafiles - they don't seem to be complete still. The launcher fails to install, too. UK region here.

Hey everyone, I've been having the same issues downloading the PTS for the last two days with the error at the 23-24% mark. I just tried opening the launcher and then immediately went to 'Game Options' and hit 'Cancel', then tried a repair. At a glance it seems like it rebuilt everything after the repair because there doesn't appear to be any more 'partial depot' files anymore...it is re-downloading the whole 43GB file again though, so I'm not exactly sure if it worked...waiting patiently again...

i try pause/resume the launcher from 18% and now back to 9%

Update from me: I reached a stage I haven't before. After some HTTP error and "Webget request failed" error, I could let it get to 100% and actually see the play botton. Sadly, as soon as the game opened a critical error 12 jumped and I couldn't do anything about it. The rest of the game folders finally downloaded though. The *** part though is that I've read that in order to fix the issue I had to repair the client, I did just that... but surprise surprise! It started downloading the WHOLE thing AGAIN.

@khenzy That's basically what I ended up doing. I quit the launcher and then reopened it. Right when the launcher started to update the PTS I clicked 'Cancel' under Game Options and then 'Repair'. I had a finder window open and was able to see that it updated all of the partial depot files in chunks to the full files, but it is redownloading the whole thing over again. Right now my download is at 40%, so hopefully it'll work. It's more progress than I've had in the last two days lol

I had similar experiences too in my 12 hour day or trying to get it to work, with copying files from the live, updating, repairing I got as far as having a play button, clicking play and getting an immediate crash. I hope you're lucky and it works but everything I tried ended in failure. My attempts open looked promising but would end up in a repair, downloading a few files then it would start downloading everything again. I've come to the conclusion the issue is on Zenimax's end either with bad/incomplete files or issues with the download server.

@Jennifur_Vultee I hope this works too...for everyone. Maybe things are finally starting to work right on the server end. Im a little more hopeful this time around because now the launcher is at least giving me an accurate representation of what's left. (I'm at 50% now and the amount left to download is 22000MB. Before, when I was getting the error, it was 23% and roughly 3000MB left which made no mathematical sense.)

I got to about 91% before it threw the HTTP error and stopped working again. Seems like things are improving, but still not working.

I've been trying several things and my fatal errors went from 12, to 6, and now to 11. From what I've been reading, a repair usually fixes the fatal error 11. I'll see if that works out. If it does, I'll post here what I did to get there.

You were exactly right man...once I hit 91%, I got the Content write failed error again. Once the download reaches that last 3500MB it just gives up.

I ran into these issues, deleted partial files, re-started. It's going ok but it's also downloading at a paltry 2.8MB/s. I don't know why. When I run a speed test I see 15MB/s. I can even log on and play ESO and not affect either the download speed or ESO performance.

The download must be throttled somewhere. Not sure where the PTS is located.

I am also having this issue - "content write failed" It happens for me at around 23 or 24%.

This is after trying to do a clean install too, and it stopped again at 23% with content write failed.

I looked in order to get the host.developer files, but could only find the host.developer.log files, and there appears to be 12 of them "host.developer.log" and "host.developer.<0 - 10>.log.

I have attached all below.
Please fix this, I would really like to try out the new features.

Yes. I've spun up a virtual machine in America and I'm retrieving the needed file now - it looks like the Akamai CDN sync is borked. Once I get it I will test dropping it into my home PC, and probably link the file here.

In fairness, it's a Test server... So they've kinda finding a good issue here they need to fix prelaunch.

I'm close to having a fix, I'm pulling the data direct from a working mirror now.

Okay - update - even with a system in America, depot_-1to52.z21 files to download. I've dumped the network traffic, the file simply isn't complete.
