Thanks for the response, sorry for being snippy I've been at this since yesterday morning and I'm really excited to test out the new stuff.

There were 11 logs total but this was the most recent that I attached

The common issue amongst most people in this thread is the last 3.5GB in the download, will stop at that point then attempt to download the last portion (2GB) + the 3.5GB, then from there it hits a "Content Write Failed" and then redownloads the entire depot.

One thing i remember doing differently this time, now that its working, is that i gone directly into my launcher folder, right clicked the launcher and started as administrator.

sharing my host developer files, the one ending with 5 is when i had the errors. The other one is now that its working.
Update: Found a different log that has the same problem everyone else is having and the point things changed to stuff that happens at log 5. The change is from when i had the launcher overnight, named the file host.developer.overnight.log so it does not conflict with other files posted here.

Update: After it finished starting the game just crashes it and running repair makes the launcher download the whole depot again... So it didn't work after all.

The failed check just shows, that the downloaded or premade empty file is not done yet, doesn't it?

Pretty much, it's doing a data integrity check and that's the specific part where it was incomplete or didn't match. I'm guessing that's around the 3.5GB marker and then it jumps back from there but runs into an issue obtaining the actual file from source. That's just what I'm interpreting though, devs will know best.

Currently trying the non-shortcut launcher route as well.

Another thing to note is that it's throwing HTTP error 2:403, which is read access forbidden. Maybe perms are messed up somewhere?

Yep, there's no permissions on certain files. I suspect it's regional CDN, ZOS will upload one file to their CDN and their provider distributes across the globe.

I tried that and many... MANY other things. And unlike some of you here, I seem to get the content write failed at other times other then the ones posted here.

I did a few Wireshark captures during the download start/fail/retry. I am not an expert on TCP traces, but what I see suggests that there may be an issue with TCP tuning with either or both of the sending CDN (Akamai) and ISP (Comcast) and it is causing the connection to stall and eventually drop. I was not able to capture the exact moment the connection broke down, but I could see continual changes in MTU, what looked like a disagreement between sender and receiver about the max TCP window size, a more than expected number of duplicate ACKs, and a spate of fragmented and out-of-sequence packets.

If someone who is an expert on TCP here could weigh in, that would be cool. It looks like there may be some kind of bottleneck along the way and the CDN is not doing a very good job managing the connection. I get the impression that Akamai's server is a bit of a bully and if you can't keep up with its brutal and relentless pace, it gives you the middle finger and storms off. Then you're left with a partial download that is an incomplete packet soup and the PTS patcher can't make sense of it.

Both my friend and I are in the Chicago area, and our downloads are crapping out at 17-21%.

Edit- though my friend and I are both in Chicago, we have different ISPs (Comcast & Charter) so that suggests the problem may be at the sender's end?

I get no error mesages, but download procent drops all the time. First went up to 22%, then back to 4, then managed up to 8%, then 1%again. But there's no error mesage, no text, no nothing.

Apparently there were quite a few failed donwloads. I just didn't get error mesages.

edit: I just noticed I was trying to download NA PTS, for some reason, I'm EU player. But had no luck with EU one either, it went up to 23% and stopped there.
