Templars are back Baby!!!! (Awesome PTR Patch Notes)

The new PTR patch notes are amazing for me as a templar so many positive changes and 2 of the most important are:

1-The Light armor skill now blocks all damage similar to Sorc shield which is Freaking awesome. (that does work for all magika classes)
2-The movement speed reduction when using resorting light wards. That will be an amazing escape in PvP

So Many other amazing changes in the patch notes I can't even count.

Another amazing non templar related change is the stamina morphs change to poison and disease damage. Now I finally don't have to use Dunmer for my stamina DK .

The New CP system instead of Vet rank system is just Great and last but not least the dark brotherhood DLC of course!!

Best patch ever!!!!

    They now all last like 6 or 8 seconds instead of 20. Lot harder to keep them up.

    I have a few times I cheered, and a few times I winced reading the notes. Will need to get on PTS to know if either reactions were worthy.

    Its only for 6 secs now instead of 20 so you will have to cast them more often so more magika problems. same with sorc shields

    I have played Templar from day one! Never played another class, never will. It's time for Templar's to be as powerful as they should be since they are the best class in the game, period. ;)

    Still i need to log on to pts and check Holy Ground passive to see if Gina mistyped in description, coz if not... it will be huge nerf instead of buff.

    I don't want to rain on anyone's parade... but I don't see how this is all that useful. The slow only applies if your opponent is actually in your (rather small) ward, right? A Sorc won't come near it, and anyone with a bow or staff will just hit you from behind if you try to run. If you're counting on that to save you in PvP, I think you are going to die a lot. What am I missing?
    Templars are 'just slower... by design'

    I like the AoE damage on Purifying Light, healer doing some minor dps to help is always welcome.

    Did you guys see the upgrades to heavy armor aswell? Not only did Temp get buffed but I see alot of Templars switching to HA now, being harder to kill and still being more offensive than they were before

    Incredible indeed, cant wait. I run with my fixed group of 4 magicka templars and if the new purifying ritual damage stacks then this will be crazy. That combined with HA and Harness will be really good. Templars are awesome, tank, heal, dps and any mix between those without the need to respec, awesomeness!

    Templars are back? Templars have been owning Cyrodiil in 2.3. I haven't seen so many single class groups since the pre 1.6 DK era. They are the class of choice for XvX video makers.

    Of course, no one @ ZOS noticed because they don't play in Cyrodiil.

    Someone tested it. Typo.

    (I would have been in myself to check it a while ago but at 100% patch failed, long repair, now downloading the whole thing again verrrry slowly.)

    The extended ritual is rather huge!! Melee characters won't be able to go around it and range characters will eventually ahve to go through it.

    I'm not talking about channeled focus

    Templars were already immensely powerful in PvP. and PVE wise doe amazing damage. The templar QQ really sorry dont like to say this but need to L2P their class. The only problem was the bugging out of your charge ability. I have played every class in the game stam and mag to find one that suits me best. Templars were just kind of got boring, not WEAK. The DPS on them once again is incredible. What were people not seeing? HousePlar was actually incredibly powerful and made you really hard to kill. Seriously the QQ'ing has to stop you guys were in a fine spot, and are now in a VERY GOOD spot.

    Ya I never felt underpowered being a temp facetank/healer. Get 3 temps together who heal first on priority and you'll have hard time. Get ten together harder time (now with more ambient dps), get 20 together gl. Nobody needs to pure stack either, @Zyke is right. I'd agrue even prior to 2.3 on bwb there were some utterly beastly temp groups and, if anything, those groups have become stronger.

    The only thing troubling me is the cascade of movement restrictions from tg and now. Doubly so if you just like to pug around, Im still real salty about alliance war skills turning into alliance war group skills. I always thought when I ported into cyrodiil I was already in a group called the Daggerfall Covenant, apparently I was completely wrong.

    @ContraTempo Its hard to link on phone for me but check the pts section, theres the 2.4 thread and theres a templar specific thread. I believe all the changes are listed in the templar specific threads thanks to @tinythinker . Plus a few more tidbits like ps not doubling dipping on the crit for heals

    I do, and my frequent deaths are because I suck at it, not because my character does. I also PvE, where templars are quite simply badass.

    Removing best and last usefull HA passive is far away from making it viable armor...

    I only see a massive nerf, To Puncturing sweeps,

    It damages is no longer buffed by putting CP into Thaumaturge, and It now heals less too

    Not all the changes are good, and some like the change to Sweeps are really a massive step backwards

    My magplar and stamplar are my most played currently.

    Interesting to see what happens to the nerf to jabs/sweeps thanks to thaumatuge bug being fixed. But aside from that, a lot of decent additions to both magica and stamina.

    Temps also got a very large nerf if you depend on RD. To me at least the single biggest counter to RD in large group play is a shield. And every stamina player has one now.

    But everyone get's a nerf in that sense, not specifically templars. If anything, nb got nerfed most from that perspective. This patch will kill crit completely.

    Only for magicka builds. Stamina Nightblades and Stamina DK can go totally berserk with their critical hits and DoTs now.
