We all know what's coming when Dark Brotherhood comes out. 1-50 leveling nerfed. I can see it already.. better level those toons before they do away with all the xp or increase the xp needed.

They won't increase the xp needed to reach Lv50 because that would defeat the purpose of them removing Vet Ranks in the first place. If they do increase it it won't be by enough to matter.

If it is "nerfed", which implies making it easier, why would I scramble to level them all up now?

If they increase it, I would be elated, kind of sucks being lvl 50 with multiple zones still untouched.

Pure speculation based on zero evidence.

Besides, we'll have a whole month to level alts between PTS and release in the unlikely event that your prediction comes true.

Too late, I got 8 VR16s (mainly levelled by questing) since last year already.
My personal preference would be levelling to VR20 (or higher), not the total loss of Veteran Ranks, but what can you do..

But more character slots are coming out, you gotta max those out too xD

Honestly I wouldn't put it past ZoS. Not quite to the cynical level of the OP, but I would never take anything ZoS says to heart.

"We cancelled vet rank removal for this DLC due to too many deer in Rawl. We will remove all of the deer in the DB DLC and monitor performance before implementing any changes to vet ranks."

They already clearly stated they are not changing the current level to 50 system in anyway.
Which is unfortunate I wish they would add more depth to the original zones i.e more random npc encounters etc.
Removing the need to be within 5 levels of everything would be a great change imo but I don't see it happening.

If they nerfed XP for leveling 1-50, they would have to re-do all the low level zones as well, because the zones are built around the expectation that players will be certain level before entering them.

For example, currently you leave Rivenspire(as a DC) at around level 30, and the next zone(Alik'r desert) has level ~30 mobs. If they nerfed the XP you get in Rivenspire, players would be too low level to play in Alik'r, but also have nowhere to gain those missing levels because they already did all the previous content.

This would require re-doing all mob levels pretty much in the whole game (so that level 50 mobs are not encountered until the zone that used to be vet10) which is a lot of work for no good reason. I wouldn't worry too much.

I kind of hope the next update aka the removal of Veteran Ranks isnt to soon. Now Im really trying to get at least one character to V16. I could have gotten to V16 ages ago, but I wasnt in any rush then, I kind of am now.

its not important to have a v16 its more important to have 160 champion points. I had that way before v16.

Honestly, there is nothing to point at them actually nerfing xp gains. It wouldn't surprise me if they stealthed nerfed it like they have multiple times in the past. The thread was simply a joke considering the possibility.
