Nope that is simply unquestionable solution. Never have they done anything to fix population imbalances. Nor they have any interest to punish folks playing the game.

Ummmm really? Because last I checked, this game is bleeding players because of their willful inability to fix the lag. This can be construed as punishing folks who TRY to PLAY the game.

Pop caps wouldn't punish folks playing the game. It would make them choose to play it another way (something zos has done over and over and over).

My question was somewhat rhetorical. ZOS probably shouldn't/won't do anything. Population imbalance is an issue that needs to be solved among the community.
Some random thoughts:
I do not know if I would be in favor of this, but perhaps making AP account wide would encourage people to play alts in underdog factions. Right now there is no incentive to play an alt other than trying to make the map less dominated. I'll add that most pugs do not care about having what people call "good pvp." They want to win, and they want AP. Also, many people do not care for raising/playing alts at all.
There needs to be an instant-gratification reward to convince all of the pugs to switch sides temporarily. I admit that 7-30 day campaigns should probably not feature any instant gratification rewards, but that is the only way I can think to sway the masses. It has to be substantial, as well, since we will be attempting to convince people to not only make/play an alt, but commit to actually making the campaign more balanced.

I imagine most people not having the Explorer's Pack. AD practically has the best races; therefore, it will be the most populated. Lore breaking, but I always hated how you could only have 3 races locked to each alliance. There's no fixing AD's overpopulation unless they remove the 3 race per alliance restriction.

Id counter with the BRK mine fight vs M12 that ran almost all the way to Cheydinhal where just 16 of us constantly wrecked about 40 of them, backpedaling the whole way until they finally broke. But ya know, stack more numbers, its not a crutch or anything *eyeroll*

Ive played cross faction in every game I have ever played, different strokes I suppose. The opportunity for uphill fighting exists there. The problem is joining a faction at launch (in my case AD), that was so grossly overpopulated there were virtually no fights to be had on six campaigns, only a few (wabba, dawnbreaker, and a couple others) were even contested at all.

The natural progression to switch sides was bred out of the lack of not shooting fish in a barrel with five times the numbers. Until youve taken six-twelve people to a buff server and farmed that entire faction for hundreds of thousands of AP in a session, and realized just how weak most zergers really are, you really havent experienced the game IMO.

We wiped you all night long and even farmed you with 16 of us. We had multiple guild v guilds and each and every time we wiped you with ease at the mine without pugs on both sides. You only managed to wiped us once after chasing us for 30 min with 15 pugs on your side. The fact remains, we fought you guys at least 5 times in GvG scenarios with no pugs on either side and each and every time, we bombed you at ease. It wasnt even close.

I've never seen someone talk themselves up so big only to get destroyed on the battlefield. I should have known that once I poked the bear, I'd get nothing more than a teddy bear......

I remember when Agrippa still played, and he was right. It's up to ZOS to fix pop issues.

They fix it by putting in dynamic pop limits

The first x amount of players is fine, once an alliance reaches X pop it's full and more players can't join until the other two reach the same pop. For this to work though the imperial city pop needs to be seperate from Cyrodiil.

As for the whole argument "it may stop me playing with my friends" my response is no it will stop one side from zerging the other with insurmountable odds like AD is doing on Haderus. Besides that's what guest campaigns are for, if one is full take your friends to another.

It's not gonna happen though, ZOS would just rather give the 6-1 outnumbered faction a little AP earning bonus because you know....that will help 10-12 people push back 40+.....

Lol, I lead when I can come home on weekends from college on my PC. On my laptop, i get 5 fps and rendering issues so I cannot lead whatsoever until i'm on my PC. For the next 3 week stretch, I won't be home so I can't lead any guild v guild until May 6th. If you still actually think I'm scared of your pug group then that's your problem, not mine

it is more complicated then that. From what I have seen the had pop during prime time is normally locked AD with at least 3 bars of the other factions.

Assuming all the values are equal.

That would mean 4 bars worth of AD vs 6+ bars of the other factions.

Despite this only one EMP was non AD when I looked at the campaign for 5 mins.

The issue is more than just raw population values.

One more thing, do I need to post my schedule and my everyday doings to convince you that I have a life outside of getting wiped consistently in Cyrodiil and no life raging on the forums?

And when did I say I wasn't going to be in Cyrodiil till May 6th? I will be playing ESO in between but there is no way I can lead on my laptop from school with 5 fps. My guild will still be running groups but I cannot personally lead till May 6th and that's why the GvG will have to wait.

So this one took advantage of all this massive stroking and barking to go and rebuild liberty Prime and save the commonwealth from the evil robot-mean of badson!

Also, this one's DC version managed to make almost as much Ap as their AD version in just two nights of PVP. So, so close to caltrops!

Heck in some cases Telel has been the only one to even try and defend a keep because the natives rush back into the sewers once the AP farming stops being easy. Needless to say this does not make khajiit or their pack wish to continue trying to help balance things out.

If the bloopers and pacters can't start making a go of things this one may be forced to migrate back onto lagflames...with it's norotiously derpwitted siege leeches and prox spamming lag blobs.
