I meant regardless of your factions position. if you defended emp you would talk about how bad AD was. If Ad had emp you would talk about how bad AD was.
The hypocrisy of Rylana to cry about AD when he was part of the same EP 2-3 weeks ago that nightcapped and zerged all over the server to keep Hektik and Dignified empeor is just a joke. I've stopped trying to use reason, he's clearly immune to it at this point.

Lol I was eagerly awaiting this. The fact that you act surprised that the game mechanic of emperorship funnels everyone in to a single objective is what really shocks me. What's even funnier is that someone of your experience still gets salty over large numbers at an emp keep like you have never seen this happen before. The even more hilarious part is that when we were defending emp earlier last week we had 70+ EP and 70+ DC inside Roe at once with multiple guild groups on both sides for 2 hours straight and we got a 21k d tick. When in fact other than some run around with healers and drop FC's constantly "ap farmers" groups that largely fight unorganized random defenders at meaningless resources I've seen some pretty large zergs from both factions.
The only thing I know about these organized groups from DC and to a lesser extent EP is that they tend to dodge a lot. They talk a lot of crap, but it's easy to talk crap when you are exploiting shuffle as policy.3 -

With the way emp currently works and the way the playerbase has been handling it pretty much since launch, I think it is high time to re-evaluate how emp is earned. A few campaigns ago, I fought my way to second place for my faction. Great, right? Too bad at second place I only had HALF of the AP of the #1. This was me logging over 50 hours for the week, being at every major battle, and doing extremely well. Meanwhile, #1 is nowhere to be found, still raking in way more AP/hr than I could hope to make, playing somewhere completely not-important to the overall campaign.
System sucks. I have quite a few ideas to revamp it, but for starters: any time someone is crowned, they should lose half of their current score, but be permanently marked down for top 2% rewards. That way, they get the best possible rewards for participation, but they can't hog emp for the whole campaign unless they really earn it, and they get their reign as emperor to help them recoup the lost score.
I think PvP would benefit greatly from having some new faces as emperor; especially if they are charismatic and can lead their faction (pugs) to greatness with their words and actions. Most emperors nowadays are either silent or too serious.
Yes, I am salty that I did not jump on the bandwagon when there were like 6 empty buff servers, but I think anyone who dedicates a lot of time should be able to earn it without being blocked by someone who has the connections to get fed AP to inflate their score. (Let's not pretend it doesn't happen all the time.)3 -

We actually went to tf saw the map was also mostly yellow so that is no Bueno. Next time one of your faction wants to challenge someone with nothing to back it up I would seriously considered refraining. As an important side note some of our guildies who mostly play on blue got on thier ad toons just to kill reds and blues due to this post so I think you did more harm than good. You see AD's only real enemy is AD but you gave us something else to focus on. So for that and the tons of ap I got this last few days I sincerely thank you. I will see you tomorrow... Same bat time... Same bat channel.

LOLTKO never beat Havoc. The drakelowe incident where 12 Havoc guys wiped literally 60 TKO (yes 2 and a half raids) on the same set of stairs was the day I realized I was in the wrong guild.
I dont even like a lot of the guys in Havoc either, and I know enough to say flat out TKO never once beat them. They got a couple zergball kills or stealthbombed (with 40 guys) a couple of them, but I have.... some very cringeworthy memories of those days. I was legit ashamed to be associated with the guild. I used to take 6-8 man groups onto the Chillrend buff server during Kami's reign and farm blues there with 1/5 to 1/8 of what a TKO raid night had. Made more AP on those nights than I ever did with TKO. I learned real quick. My attendance became less and less, and Drakelowe ended it for me. I was just done at that point.
2 1/2 raids.... wiped by 12 guys in a postern tower. I just dont even.

If I get a chance to take a keep with no resistance imma go for it. Push them back to their gates. If they want pvp let then have it at their gates. Or how about you take a shot at Trueflame and stop being a wimp? I dont even play there as EP, but clearly youre afraid of anything that isnt you with 20 guys fighting one person.

LOL I've been around long enough to see reds take the whole map for months, then the one time you people start to lose you come on forums and "waaaah ZoS! AD gate camping me Waaaaaaah" instead of making me mark your words, why not get off the forums and come on in? OH I KNOW, you don't want to leave your buff campaign right? Why should I move? I like that the whole map is yellow. I admit it, I couldn't give two hoots about all of you. I get my buff server and my tier rewards for gatecamping. So if you ain't happy, I'm just saying, why not leave your little home in TF? And I play on TF as well, I enjoy VD bombing huge groups. Best 175k necklace I bought. And yes I use VD, so call me cheese or whatever you want, I like AP and I don't care how I get it, whether it's by gatecamping or whether it's by using a cheese build. As long as the Queen has the majority of the map, the ruby throne is ours.

I like this idea, but it probably wouldn't be a very popular campaign. Maybe a tweaking of throne/dethrone conditions to spread the action across the map would be better received.
With the way emp currently works and the way the playerbase has been handling it pretty much since launch, I think it is high time to re-evaluate how emp is earned. A few campaigns ago, I fought my way to second place for my faction. Great, right? Too bad at second place I only had HALF of the AP of the #1. This was me logging over 50 hours for the week, being at every major battle, and doing extremely well. Meanwhile, #1 is nowhere to be found, still raking in way more AP/hr than I could hope to make, playing somewhere completely not-important to the overall campaign.
System sucks. I have quite a few ideas to revamp it, but for starters: any time someone is crowned, they should lose half of their current score, but be permanently marked down for top 2% rewards. That way, they get the best possible rewards for participation, but they can't hog emp for the whole campaign unless they really earn it, and they get their reign as emperor to help them recoup the lost score.
I think PvP would benefit greatly from having some new faces as emperor; especially if they are charismatic and can lead their faction (pugs) to greatness with their words and actions. Most emperors nowadays are either silent or too serious.
Yes, I am salty that I did not jump on the bandwagon when there were like 6 empty buff servers, but I think anyone who dedicates a lot of time should be able to earn it without being blocked by someone who has the connections to get fed AP to inflate their score. (Let's not pretend it doesn't happen all the time.)
It happens a lot. "Boosting". Too bad ZOS won't do anything to revamp the current system. Back in the day someone yelling "raid at the LM go go!" After taking a keep was the way to boost haha. But now ....0
