Why ultimate not scale with HP ?

    Most ults deal damage or heal and as such should scale with the stats for dealing damage such as magika and stamina. To scale an ult off HP would hinder players builds.

    However, the OP doesn't seem very conversational on his topic so not sure where he intends to go with this?

    Then how isn't scaling damage off of only max stamina or max magicka not doing exactly the same thing? Right now its all one way or another. Tank with large health pool? Weak damage and heals unless you're just a durable dps. Hybrid? Good job dividing your damage for no bonus to versatility. Right now this whole 'scale off of resources' thing is killing build diversity.

    I'm pretty sure having more HP is a vast improvement on your defense.

    Max health used to affect the damage of dots though I think, not sure if it still does (and by that I mean only the damage over time portion of them).

    With how much damage gets thrown around, it does little. High damage means strong heals and a small health pool can just be refilled. PvE mobs are challenging mostly from one hit kills that, aside from blocking, can still destroy players who invest in health, and in pvp you'll what, survive one more attack? The sacrifices needed to get large health pools make you weaker most everywhere else, putting you at a significant disadvantage.

    I agree that health should probably provide something else.

    Like i said, it used to increase the dot portion of dot effects. But they change things so often and so completely I don't really know how anything works entirely.

    Instead of changing mechanics, they can add sets etc...

    Btw a health based ward? Hmm always wanted a clannfear HP sorc build. At 40k health clannfear would heal for 14k, my ward would be 10kish, perma frost would be Killer good.

    Just imagine getting threw tha ward, trying to get through that hp, and my clannfear healing me for over 7k in Pvp instantly, and re pop that health ward, having 1600 + health regen.

    As a DK tank.

    The more health you have the more Dragon blood can heal you with a massive missing health.All healer will love you.

    Seriously some lying healers only do DPS instead of healing me.That's what more health is the way to go.

    I'm sorry about those bad healers by the way. The only time I ever encountered a 40k health tank was a v2 that was battlescaled, and he was just as surprised by the number as the rest of the group were :p

    @Goatius ehhhh sorcerer is a class, not a role and some of them don't put everything into magicka.

    The only skill you can actively use health for is Equillibrium, so I wondered why a tank would put all points into health. Marktoneth3 already answered my question.

    Ultimates shouldn't deal magic or physical damage, just some neutral form of Damage and shouldn't scale based off stats (I feel abilities shouldn't scale off of max resources either but that's another flaw of the game)

    As for health, they really need to put some incentive for actually putting points into health. Increased resistances, reduced CC times, something to make it actually useful to invest in.
