Animation Cancelling Explained

    But while you're cancelling the animation, you should also be cancelling the effects of the skill. You know, since you didn't finish casting it...

    you actually do cancel it if the skill you cast has a cast time. If you start to hard cast a crystal fragment and hit block, you'll see you cancel the cast with the animation. (it's a bit more complex than that but whatever).

    Not sure how you think you can "finish" casting a skill that is instant cast (no cast time).
