Clarification on Akatosh’s Blessed Armor please

As seen in patch notes: Akatosh’s Blessed Armor: Fixed an issue where the blind debuff applied by this item set could be used on certain boss monsters.

What does "certain boss monsters" mean? Can we have a clarification on which bosses this set will work on and not?

@ZOS_GinaBruno

Thanks!

    I assume it wasn't suppose to work on any bosses and that has now been fixed to reflect that.

    I imagine if prior to the patch someone tested its bonus against Lord Warden's mega blast

    It looks like ZOS finally paid attention to @Personofsecrets. Though I suspect he wishes that they paid more attention to his other threads...

    The upside is that they can upgrade this "old" low level set to Vet 16

    He should have kept this one a secret.

    The issue was this set was already tested when it was first found out, and it never worked with bosses. Likely somewhere after the removal of character applying blinds this set broke and began applying to bosses. This was never intended, so it wasn't a change to spite Person or any player for that matter, but to fix a set from being misused outside of its original intent (tanking trash mobs). It sucks that we as players are forced into situations where we can't get excited and share our builds' successes, due to the fact that their surprising successes are due to bugs.

    Hopefully this scenario flips a switch somewhere at ZoS and they realize that tanks (and other builds) just want to do what the company has been saying all along, play how they want and have fun. Running the same boring sets to remain relevant in the current (and pathetic) state of the end game is running its course. There are plenty of interesting sets in game but none of them match themselves with the efficiency or viability that the current "BiS" sets do, despite them being very boring and not being dynamic or engaging.

    Thank you for you answer and clarification, seems like a reasonable explanation. And i totally agree with you about the sets. A lot of people including me got exited about this set when shared on the forums, a sudden new fun twist was added to the dying art of ESO tanking that i was going to try out. Never had the chance now though. My condolences to @Personofsecrets that wasted golden tempers on the items :(

    That was my hope - to make tanking fun for some people looking for something to do. It's okay, I didn't need that gold anyway.

    Just to clarify, contrary to what @Woeler implied, I don't feel personally slighted by zos, but I do think they have a lot they could do to make tanking, or the game for that matter, better rather tank laser focusing on changes that don't effect most players in or good way or even at all.

    Now that the set is nerfed it will certainly be leveled up.
