    11,789 Health (56%)
    VD Explosion hits for 12,696
    Radiant Destruction hits for 5,358
    Dead

    What I dont understand is how you can get hit by 12,696 with 11,789 health and survive to take another 5,358 dmg from RD.

    If RD would hit you first (11,789 - 5,358 ) you would have 6431 (30,5%) Health left.
    And that means the VD explosion acted like an execute at 30,5% Health.

    Take a look at this video ZENIMAX!!!!! look! he gets executed by this stupid broken set!!, from 50% to 0% by vicious death?... this is *** lame....

    add a timer, like 2/3 secs after death, so it even dounsnt have to show on your death recap, its that simple, change the scripts....

    What is so hard to understand about VD showing up on death recap? No one is denying it is happening, the ZOS response explicitly said it was. It's a UI bug, the set didn't kill you, it was the two players BOTH using their ultimate on you. The set does actually hit you but only after death.     I agree it should be fixed, but it's a pretty minor bug compared to some of the other ones in this game involving class or weapon abilities like gap closers and cloak.

    Sorry but you are incorrect. The set procs early and deals damage to you. I was 1 v 1 with another player and it happened twice, causing me to die suddenly. Once was even while I was dodge rolling a frag.

    That's ok then, because the 17k vicious death on my recap while nobody was even close to me was getting me worried.

    Hopefully that 17k shown on my recap is missing the 50% Cyrodiil damage reduction? @ZOS_TFlemming

    They let go of or lost all of their talented programmers. Now they have a bunch of interns playing with the Hero Engine like build your own adventure style. This doesn't surprise me.

    You only get a Hero Engine logo on install so a lot of people dont know or forget that much of the game isn't even built on Zenimax technology, including the launcher. They didn't develop that either. It's all a big front to sell camel mounts and pretty dresses in Build Your Own Hero Engine Adventure Online.

    You killed a guy while blocking, it makes sense the VD could be blocked as it goes off at the exact time of death.

    Fun aside: Have been soloing a lot and whenever this set shows up in the recap. It is never the last and adding the ones up, never even come close to the total health. Even a health bar de-sync is not explaining it as the - quite specular death blow up - can happen real fast after combat is initiated, which means it has to contribute to the damage and finally death.

    Against 1-2 players, with no-one else in sight, as in really NONE, and all damage from those in-sight, and VD accounting for 40-50% of the total damage, proximity for another 30%-40% (if it was present) and the rest just small attacks in the 2-4k range and none of them DoTs (in most cases at least, you occasionally still meet DKs, you know)

    Best guess: It counts health without the PvP buff and/or always ticks before your own regeneration / healing.

    If ZOS would be serious about fixing this, then they would
    1. delay the blast by 1 second after death (has been confirmed)
    2. give that set a cool down of 5 seconds (minimum)
    On a side note: With all this OP AOE damage bursts, all stacking with proper timing (read: easy to macro) where are the stamina equivalents? Where is that Proximity Detonation stamina / weapon damage based skill? Where are the abilities to buff you max stamina? Where the sets that provide similar advantages?
    For starters: ZOS could increase the range of the poisoned area for the eternal hunt to the same size as proximity detonation and have evil fighter give an equivalent buff to max stamina as mage light to max magicka.

    Without any statement of "trying to balance" is a complete joke, which btw isn't funny any more.

Instead explode target when you kill them, it make their body become a bomb trap that explode when an enemy step on it. The trap last 15s and about as big as the Eternal Hunt trap. This way it still be a zerg buster, but no longer killing single target with it proc.

    how is this a visual bug with the death recap when it shows 8k on the scrolling text with them at half hp?
    im solo killing people and watching them blow up below 20% and the orange text is showing up on scrolling text for it

    are you saying they are actually dead when it goes off at 20%???

    No it's not I have had this third on my death recap with two attacks after solo farming a resource late at night so yea there's that.

    I could care less about anyones opinion who is in favor of magicka det or VD.

    "Spread Out"?....

    So i need to spread out from 2-4 players? I did not know this many players was a Zerg worth punishing with instant death.

    How is this good game design? I thought we were trying to encourage small scale... not destroy it with 1 ability.

    Magicka Det scaling is a joke. Zos is so incompetant when it comes to these kind of balance issues.

    When will real balance happen?


    I personally do not believe VD is going off while im still alive. I think this is just how the set works. Proc at 1 hp and the rest is overflow damage.

    This set was still not needed imo.



    Look at this though. Now this is what Proxi and VD was made for. Not for killing small scale. Insane solo bomb by someone I know on ps4.

    He lag's out because of all the *** that happens.

    I dont even think its that great of a set anymore... people are already spreading out and when I was using it I never noticed it procing early on my side. I was running the alchemist VD and torugs set up with proxy and soul teather and sap and it was hella fun early on when people still balled up but now people spread out more and block more often so its not really worth using.

    On another note I am having fun now with 14-20k snipes using the marksman set + kena+ masters bow +agility.

    Its not stupid if it works.
    VD and Proxy Det are the only tools available to kill groups that are 2-4x bigger.

    If you get one shot by Proxy Det you might want to get some impen on your gear and put more CP into Elemental Defender, Thaumaturge and Resistant.

    I can land a good steath hit for 13k with Marksman and Agility without kena or masters bow so it's possible. More glassy then most Archers but I can see it

    I may have a few templar friends proc some spellpower cure as well... for those 16k plus hits but I would say average 12k-14k

    It's a terrible idea because it undermines the set. The point of the set is to punish stacking on other players, you shouldnt be able to stack until its inconvenient then go right back to doing it. If you get killed by VD it's your fault for being careless. Capping an objective next to 10 players and got blown up? You should have been blocking, its foolish to ever assume a NB isnt watching you at all times waiting for you to let your guard down in the safety of your meatball. Spammed gap closers with 5 other people to swarm a single enemy? This tactic is lame and you deserve to get killed by VD/Proxy everytime.

    Bows got a serious buff with TG as all of the poison morphs can double dip with thaumaturge, and the new marksman set with a whopping TWO STAM REGEN BONUSES is amazing for pvp. They've given you the tools to change in the new meta TG brought, but you dont want to adapt. Grab a bow, impen your gear, and SPREAD OUT. It's not hard.

    To clarify, this is a visual bug with death recap where it still counts the proc as a hit for death recap purposes even though you're already dead. The set is not actually dealing damage to the person who procs it before they die, sorry for the confusion.

    im solo killing people and watching them blow up below 20% and the orange text is showing up on scrolling text for it

    If you're stacking, the trap will be right on your foot when the guy next to you die and you'll be blow up immediately anyway. It still work as a zerg buster.
