Lag in Maelstrom Arena and Homescreened then Reset

OK so today I decided to revisit VMA and everything seemed to be running smoothly.
No deaths until the 4th Stage and then it all started going downhill.
Once I returned to the Arena after this death the lag was disgusting not only was there half a second between activating my buff and seeing the animation I was being wiped by AOE that hadn't even appeared on my screen yet.
On top of this after getting past the Matriarch in the Frozen Rink the Spiral Shadows Arena was more of the same.
I cast structured to lure in the Hoarvar and the delay in it activating caused me to miss out on freeing one of the stones for protection.
After 20 lives of frustration I went to make a coffee to return and find ive been kicked to the home screen (Far less than the Idle time) and when I've loaded it back up it has reset my score and now I will not be going back in until I can save it.
This is yet another problem with being kicked to the home screen in Wrothgar and there seems to be no mention in the patch notes of these issues being addressed instead they're releasing another DLC that will push fixing the old DLC to the back of the priority list.
Am I the only one who experiences lag in this Solo PvE Arena where there is no reason for lag to occur other than to ruin your life and make you hate the game.
Surely this isn't just me....

✭✭✭✭✭If you log out or zone out for 5 minutes, the arena will reset. This is not specific to vMA; it applies to all instanced content in the game. For example, if everyone in your group walks out of a group dungeon, then 5 minutes after the last person left, the dungeon will reset--very useful if you want to re-run a dungeon to farm it and don't want to bother with reforming the group (esp. since most people take a 5+ minute break between farm runs anyway).
I'm not sure what the idle timeout is... maybe 10 minutes? I've never timed it. Once it idles you out, if you don't get back in 5, it's gone. When I take long breaks from vMA, I keep an object on my keyboard so that my character does not idle out...Nightfighters ― PC/NA and PC/EU

✭✭✭Haven't been kicked from there but the lag starting with arena 3 is ATROCIOUS for me. My normal ping is 200-250 but I pretty much did most of it(up to arena 9 second round, was feeling like a zombie at that point having wasted over 200 lives at previous arenas, mostly due to lag, and left) at stable ~500 ping. 1 shotting mechanics coupled with random lagggg are so fun. Pretty much had to guess what was going on, attack mobs by memory and pray it worked lol.
Basically same exact thing as Cyro in primehours for me. Unworking door, stuck health after ressing, high ping for no apparent reason as soon as you start fighting, random lags out to 1k++ ping when all the game just stops moving for 5-10 seconds, unworking weapon swap, reverb-style unbreakable cc's, attacks hitting me through block/dodge...
It's weird because I know some people (also not exactly living on top of NA servers and averaging 200-250 ping normally) who do it without a problem but you're definitely not alone at lagging out, it seems there's something weird with the instance location/load or something.0 -
