Ive been wondering since player housing is coming, it got me thinking how much will they cost to buy ingame? And that if the houses do come in varieties some may be more expensive than others depending on how luxurious or big one house is, that could be a possibility or maybe the house just comes in one shape rather than different varieties, who know but i am curious. Let Know what u guys think?
Was player housing mentioned recently? I didn't think there had been any official commentary recently.
We think, based upon comments on ES Live, it'll be the Q3 DLC.

Granted, I would also like to suggest they price by location. Big cities will generally cost more, small towns, a little less, small peasant houses/huts/caves (I actually love the idea of a little cave), costing less.
If it's possible to implement, they could even add small zones for small 'towns', maybe in individual styles depending on the area in which its located.
And to those saying how its so easy to earn 75k- not for all of us! Maybe for the majority (and thats a -maybe-), but not everyone wants to spend forever farming that amount of gold, especially if it's a barely able to stand shack. A week of doing nothing but thieving for a shack? No, thank you- give options for actual houses to everyone please Zeni.
However, on another note, adding shacks & caves in the middle of no-where, being tiny-working class averagely sized, could be a nice alternative to pricey homes. They would be cheap and out of the way, but still an easy option for anyone starting out. Tents, camps, small hide-outs in the corner maps could also be worked into this.

yeah
my home is my castle...
my own little place under the sun....
just the quality of life, the comfort feeling....
also when it is the tiniest shack in the world !
That should cost little no nothing
There is however an economical min-max aspect, and that is the simple inventory issue. There will be a competition between a costly increase of inventory that can be achieved per character, the bank.... even Crowns are involved
and ANY inventory you get at a low price in your tiny little shack.
This leads to an unnecessary price increase of your own little dwelling !
A way to decouple this would be that the amount of inventory of your chests in your housing go up in proportion to the amount of slots you bought for your characters and bank.
The tiny little shack will have only 1 chest. Bigger Mansion have more chests and Mannequins.
This should enable completely new players to get their housing at a very low price, and expand their chest in that little shack, by the normal inventory slot increase method already in place, that costs dear money and crowns.
Such a "starter" shack should cost no more than 10-20k or so.
or for free behind the paywall of a new DLC.
I imagine there are technical challenges with having it anything but instanced, but I'd feel disconnected from the community if that's not overcome. I suppose one could invite friends to the instance. I'd rather folks could come right in and have some mead.

Except that TV stones are only used in Imperial City, and nowhere else and never will be.

100k is just BS, i have been playing on, and off since beta, and i have never had more the 30k, at 1 time, GTFO with your rich ass.

Most people I know who are good end game players have around 1mil+ gold, however there are often complains on the forums when items cost in the hundreds of thousands. It would be interesting to know what the average dare I use the term casual player has as gold reserves.
Based on the SWTOR model they offer one very cheap location, then two slightly more costly and one expensive location. Finally they also have the dreadnoughts which (although designed for a guild effort) are in the extreme levels of wealth section.
A million is not normal in PvP we make next to nothing after the Rewards for the Worthy nerf sure we have more gold per mail but we get one mail when we would have gotten 5-6 mails the set drops are rare and often useless besides like four. All that plus no body looting, set drops, or the need to repair armor PvP players don't focus on gold.

I'm not a noble or a bourgeois. I'm an sinister vampire wizard, I'm the Butcher of Torfan.... oh no, wrong game... I'm not saying I want to live as hermit in a cave or sleep in a coffin. A simple but elegant house I worked my *** of build and customize with my bare hands the way I want is much better without mention that's much lore friendly

Lol...100k isn't rich, by any means in this game. I've been playing since launch on console and have over a mil+ in bank.
Judging from what you say you have in bank, I'd assume you maybe collect 5-10 gold pieces a day.
Maybe we can just get a FEMA camp for the broke players?

Dont assume. And dont rib someone if they dont have as much gold as you do.I bet you PvP.
A whole lot of players dont have 100K.Those who say they do just cant seem to keep from bragging about it.If they do have that much.
It's reality that those people who dont PvP tend to have less gold. And dont tell them to PvP then,if they want the gold.
Housing doesnt have any need to be over priced like that. What some people want is only themselves to have a home. Not the newbies or those who arent so rich.
