Am I good?..

Ok, so, strange subject title, but...

I was so pleased with myself last night. I solo'd a dolman! The one in stonefalls in the top left near fort virak... with my level 12 templar.

Not sure if this was good or not, but its a first for me.

Is this easy to do?...if so, I guess I'm just... average.

For a seasoned ESOer, this is extremely easy to do, but if it was your first time then nice work! I like the fact you took a shot at it in the first place, true adventurer style.

    Nice achievement :3

Thanks. It took a good 30 mins, and a lot of heart palpitations, but I was soooo pleased. There should be an achievement fir that...a nice dye for my armor would be nice.

The first (and only ;) ) time I ever soloed a dolmen, I pretty much felt the same! I can't remember which one it was (I think it was somewhere in Ebonheart Pact, Cadwell's Silver), but I was also very proud.
For me it was like: "Well, I can't be that bad, can I?". Usually I'm really bad when it comes to fighting group bosses, group dungeons etc...

    Congratulations! Keep it up! :)

It is pretty easy and sometimes a must in Veteran Levels as no-one's around. But I'd say a great achievement with a Level 12 toon. Well done!

Yeah, I remember when I started ESO I was waiting at the Dolmens for other players to defeat them. Thought you can´t solo them. But after a while I was sick of all the waiting and done it on my own, the first times I thought I was good aswell, but nowadays I just know, that you can pretty easy solo them ;)

I agree with you that there should be an ingame achievement linked to a dye for this, so it becomes more rewarding to solo open world group content.

Specially in Cadwells Silver and Gold veteran areas, where many players either don't do dolmens and world bosses, or must solo them because the areas are a bit more abandoned. For those who choose to spend their time to solo these things it would be nice to be rewarded with a dye.

As @Alucardo said, seasoned players can do this with ease, however for a new player this is really quite an achievement to do. I couldn't do it when I was lvl 12, and I remember we even struggled in teams of 4+ players sometimes.

If it's your first character that solo'ed a dolmen as level 12, than really nice work. Think most guys would have given up after a few minutes or asked for help, so that determination is pretty impressive

But when it's done with a level 12 alt rocking 501 CP and refined crafted gear, than it's not very impressive to solo a dolmen. There's a huge disparity between old and new accounts. It results in much greater difficulty for new players, compared to seasoned ones.

Maxed out lowbies with 501 CP can pretty much instakill Doshia and other major quest bosses.

    What's 501 cp?

I do have other characters, but I've only ever got to level 20. This templar is going to be my main build,.

cp = champion points. A little thing you start recieving, when your character hits veteran rank 1. (lvl 50). they can be put into different passive skills, that will help you a lot in combat. You can reduce damage taken, increase damage you do, reduce cost of skills etc.

Templar is a good class to start out with as a pve player, because if you struggle at finding groups for dungeons or get good gear etc. in the future, you can gear it up cheaply to take a healer role in dungeons, untill you have the economy or friends list/ guilds to do group pve with as a damage dealer. :P it's mainly do to our supportive passives and skills though, so there is high demand for templars, specially as healers.

At release Templars had no healing with Puncturing Sweep, and soloing dolmens was actually pretty tough in the early levels.

It's a lot easier now as just using sweeps and line-of-sighting around the center should allow you to take your time and recover resources as needed.

Try the public dungeon next! If you can clear it on your Templar including all bosses and group challenge with no Champion Points, then that is pretty solid.

Look here. They are not the 4-man dungeons. Those you won't be able to do. They have a little cave icon, with no "+" or anything.

Oh also, I recommend this addon if you want to clear them all to get achievements and the skill point for the group challenge in each one.

You taking a dolmen a few levels above is where you should be. It does not make a superior player. I do place you squarely above average given it is your first pass in the game. Once you get to vet levels and see how non-vet combat is not teaching you what you need for vet combat you will understand. Until then you really cannot know.

Solo'ing dolmens is pretty fun, it can be difficult at first but that just makes it funner. Some of the bosses I've had trouble solo'ing however, like one who just kept straight up one-hitting me, but yeah. When you're new to the game and at level 12 that's a great achievement I'd say, be proud of it.

Lol...just fought doshia on an alt...only 113 CP with green sets...3 hit...doshia didn't even get an attack off...

Its the crafted sets that make a difference imo, combined with experience (knowing how to build and rotations).

I have solo'd dolmen's on this alt already too; but when literally everything except the boss die in 1 or 2 hits, it isn't that hard.

However, on my first charactr, with out the benefit of crafted sets and experience; I remember struggling through my first solo dolmen clear, on a DK tank. So TC, you definitely achieved something, but you will eventually look back and go "Man, I am so much more powerful now"...lol
