Pretty much. Now it's "do the content you want" instead of "do the content that we have set out for you" Don't want to quest in Daggerfall on an Ebonheart toon straight away (or at all)? Go to the elf lands or even Orsinium

    Most likely it means that:

    1) All veteran zones for other Alliances will scale like Orsinium does rather than being staggered for progress through veteran ranks.
    2) There will still be Cadwell's Silver and Gold quests for the main story if you choose to do them.

It would still be nice if the Cadwell quests gave better item rewards and also if it did something more like unlocking the option to join the Alliance you quested through. If they add class morphs, Gold could unlock that as well along with the Alliance change option and a nice set of useful items.

For the items, maybe two pieces of a unique two piece set. Something with a choice in the dialogue like for the prismatic weapon, but for a head/shoulders set so you could pick something for a magicka build, a stam build, or a general tank build. Maybe have that for Silver and similar options for a unique 3 piece jewlery set for gold. Or, barring that, 2-3 pieces from Undaunted sets.

What this means is that once you reach Veteran Rank, you can go into either Silver or Gold without having finished the main quest yet. If you complete the main quest prior to VR1, you can still go into Silver and Gold, too.

Hey @ZOS_GinaBruno, I did PM you this question but I imagine they easily get lost!

Does this mean you could start in Auridon for example, then hop to Bangkorai, then Malabal Tor, then Stormhaven for example or are you still restricted to picking one, completing it and then doing the other?

See this what I think (and hope) but I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere in those words, plus with Gina saying they haven't completed scaling yet I don't see how it will work. Can you just hit VR1 then skip along to a VR10 zone, for example?

The scaling question would be critical here. It doesn't make as much sense to be skipping to different regions if the enemies are still way overleveled for your character. Or going to one area and then having to return to a lower-leveled area when your level is too high to get loot or exp.

Seems like there's going to be a huge problem if VR removal according to ZOS is only player levels and not NPCs
As thought...all VR NPCs would drop to 50-55but I'm not reading that

Well, I just figured better scaling was coming in for this update, but maybe not. Even if it isn't some people at VR2 can run VR8 content, so maybe they are opening it up anyway.

What? I figured it was coming but now? No more Silver and Gold! Explore at will. Does this mean they have already completed the conversion of these zones to "battle leveled" zones?
Not quite yet, no. What this means is that once you reach VR1, the Silver and Gold alliances will unlock even if you haven't finished the main quest yet, and can progress in any order you'd like.

Would be nice to know but no reply yet.

MMORPG: Those players currently on a new alliance's content after VR1, can they go back and start working on the other?

RL: Yes! Once a player hits VR1, they automatically unlock access to the other two alliances worth of content and you can progress through them in any order you wish. When you finally do meet up with Cadwell and receive the Silver/Gold questline, any progress you already made towards its completion is automatically updated.

In addition, Cadwell’s silver/gold quest rewards have been improved significantly!

@ZOS_GinaBruno just another question on the matter, does this unlock mean that you are battle leveled or just get the zones unlocked at the level they are at now? If that is a yes, is the plan to implement battle leveling on silver and gold aswell? Thanks!

Sounds great so if i wanted to make a new character i don't have do my alliance quest (cold harbour) and then do silver/gold in order to unlock area's to grind at later levels?

Also any ETA removing vet ranks because i have quite a few vet 1's here and i'm wondering if it's worth leveling them.

Are we keeping our current cp when gear progression turns to cp? Or are we receiving cp based on how many characters at vet ranks we have, for example i know it's 10 per vet level now but if i have 3 vet 16's am i still going to only be 160 cp?

    Eh... It still doesn't :
    • Allow cross faction simul-play through ALL zones
    • Scale my character back to older zones

This is just because there will no longer be "vet" ranks so all zones will likely scale to the same level. Still, It's a step in the right direction.

I swore I'd never become 'that guy', but I wish they had this in the beginning. I didn't want to settle with a VR1 main quest reward. (and I know I could've just grinded my way higher, but who has the patience for that)

Regardless, now I can max out my alts and then pass on the awesome loot to my mains.

What about "veteran" version of own alliance? Or it will not actual when VR will eliminate? In the current situation I often want to play in my original alliance zones but it are too weak for me. Please, ZOS, give us special options to make all alliances "veteran" for one character or make GW2 equivalent their autoleveling system. Thanks.

You will get CP based upon your highest SINGLE character, so even if you have 3 vet 16's, you'll still only receive 160 CP. It would not make sense and would be a casual player nightmare if they gave CP based upon the number VR levels of each character at vet level.
What this means is that once you reach Veteran Rank, you can go into either Silver or Gold without having finished the main quest yet. If you complete the main quest prior to VR1, you can still go into Silver and Gold, too.

Gina, so how are Silver and Gold going to scale in the future? Right now they scale based upon VR levels in a specific order, so if you will eventually be able to choose the order to complete them, it makes me wonder what their scaling is going to be based upon.
