This seems like one of those things that isn't a problem with the skill itself, but with the environment itself. When the visual cues are desynched from the actual engine effects, it causes a lot of headaches, such as a target appearing farther away than it "is" when an effect appears to go off. We should be able to trust the visuals to communicate what is really going on, but sometimes, especially in situations with even a little lag, we just can't.

Ok guys, this is stupid. You have a strong chance of dying to one of, if not the, most powerful melee abilities in the game. No kidding. I use WB, and I can guarantee that I am not very good at PvP yet. Guess what... any class using any weapon can hand my ass to me 50% of the time. When I survive it's because I used the skills learned from watching veteran PvP players on youtube: don't stand still, use your terrain, back off to take your time and pick a low health target, etc. WB does not save my life, those skills do. Everyone tosses out a bunch of damage. You people are complaining about skilled players using this against you. Guess what, if this is nerfed, they'll just skillfully use the next ability against you and you'll cry for that to be nerfed. Thus the nerf chain. They are skilled and all the crying won't bring about enough nerfs to stop them. Learn to play your builds and skills properly. Until then, die. If you were smart, you would learn from those deaths and know what NOT to do. In the meantime you can either keep doing the same thing that causes you to die and keep screaming "When will they change the game so I can live?!" , or you could try a different tactic. It might not be the game that's the problem. They only have a 22 meter gap closer. Try staying somewhere between 23 and 36 meters away and nuking them with spells. That works well, trust me.
I was messing around with an EP guy today while we were bored, and we both looked at each other and said "wtf" after he managed to wrecking blow me from 15 meters away. The positioning on this skill is utterly broken. It can clip through walls and has more range than it should. I reckon if these issues were fixed, people might have less of a problem with WB. But as it stands, I can't blame them for complaining.
Once again, I don't want to see it nerfed, just fixed. Let's be honest, you won't though. We could make 1,000 posts and this skill will never get looked at because you simply don't care as it works fine in PVE. In fact, you probably stopped reading when you found out this was PVP related. I could write anything about your incompetence right now and you wouldn't be any wiser.
Have a great day

WB is useless against a good player
its true tho. 1.2 sec cast time. you can practically walk through it..
sirrmattus wrote: »Decayed_Inside wrote: »CC immunity is broken too. I think that's why many people hate WB because CC immunity is not working so it's endless CC sometimes
This certainly doesn't help. WB isn't too bad on its own, but when you've got 2 or more people crit rushing and WBing you with faulty mechanics it's a real pain to deal with.
ye, and 2 nb ambush and SA. ur dead. whats ur point?

If animation cancelling was non existent I believe 66.6% of the skill problems are solved.
