Should ZOS add Integrated Voice Chat to PC?

With Text Chat coming to Console some have wondered if Voice Chat should come to PC. ZOS has already said they do not have plans because of the plethora of 3rd party services that PC players can use. So the question is a simple one:

Should ZOS add Integrated Voice Chat to PC?

The option of "Don't Care" isn't included because I figured if you didn't care you could just not vote.

You're right about that "Don't care" option. I'll just use TS or Discord. Most people would have some form of voice chat already installed.

No, it would waste resources adding in a system no one would use. We already have a plethora of voice communication options on PC as much teamspeak.

I'd prefer if they focus on necessary stuff. Voice chat is covered by TS, Mumble and whatever else there is. Should be enough imo.

I would like that. There are different third party programs people use (surely TeamSpeak most used, but still). I think it would be good if everyone had the same voice chat in place.

As stated before we already have thousands of workarounds. Asking for some useless features when there are so many things that could really improve this game, feels wrong.

A voice chat system for a MMO can't be done overnight. It take time to implement... perhaps few weeks? A month? This time could be used for other important features.

"Don't care" would be my response. I have no problems with them adding it, and I might even use it if they do. But I'm content with TeamSpeak, and would be concerned if adding this feature diverts away too many resources.

Only if they make an option to turn it off because I dont wanna hear everyone talking/eating/whatever in crowded zones.
And if I need voice chat, I can just use TS.
But in any case, I think that there are more important things to fix/implement.

Thing is, this is a slow paced game. If you need to communicate with people to achieve a goal (in pvp or pve) you have time to join on skype, ts, mumble etc.
A fast paced game is like Counter Strike, where you get paired up with random people and NEED to communicate, but you don't have the time to set up a chat room because the game has already started.

    - A third-party system is a specialized system with better configuration and option than ZOS could ever deliver
    - ZOS should spend their resources on something more valuable to the game
    - There's already enough hopping between Mumble and TeamSpeak, let's not add another one
    - From what I heard, console people already use the consoles' voice systems because the integrated voice chat from ZOS lacks quality.

NB : they already announced they wouldn't do it anyway.

No point making my client any bigger when I can just use TS or Mumble which I already have installed anyway. At least we always had ways to voice chat in ESO through third-party software, console users had no way of text communication so it's a different story

It's not like I oppose the idea but as people said, we don't really need it. TS, Mumble or whatever else do a perfectly fine job and ZOS has enough things to focus on as it is.

While I would love to see integrated voice chat, I agree with everything Matt Firor said on Live and what some of the players said above. It's best if they focus on something else.

I would make life a hell of a lot easier.
But they already suffer with server performance / bandwidth issues.
I think its better to offload that to a secondary party so its the client and 3rd party that takes the hit.
Plus ZOS can focus on game content rather than comms.

If I thought they could do it, I would say yes. Having it built into ESO would make life so much easier.

I do wish that the ESO community would start to gravitate towards a single client, or at least start moving away from some clients. Vox, Ventrilo, Teamspeak, Discord. More choices than I want to keep clients installed. I simply don't do voice chat on PC/Mac. Only PS4.

Teamspeak, or whatever, are great for ESTABLISHED groups, but fall short for PUGS. I don't want to have to exchange server info and pw every time I do a random group, but I DO want to be able to talk while grouped. Voice would fill this gap and make it much easier to PUG.

@Ourorboros : good point. But falls short in EU due the language barriers. Most players understand enough "english soup" to manage with the chat box, but voice is more demanding if people are to understand each other.
