I'm pretty sure they said they won't be including racial change. It was either racial or class change for sure they won't going to implement in the game.

They actually said a race change is coming. Class won't be though.

Besides, if you want to use the 4 classes make 4 characters. Really isn't hard to level them and gear them and stuff after all. The upcoming Race Change feature will resolve the need to "reroll" the classes with a different race.

I made a stamplar and put a load of work into it and I can't play it anymore for some reason. Thinking of either changing to a mage and still grind my high elf sorc or kahjiit nb.

Racial changes are definitely needed. There's no need to fuss over it because the (any class-any race) option is already available if you purchase the starter pack.

I have a VR16 Breton Sorcerer which I'm quite happy with, however, when I first started playing ESO, I created an Argonian Sorcerer purely because I liked the look of Argonians. I never noticed how much bretons are better on magicka classes compared to Argonian's or other races. Because of this mistake, I now have a VR14 Argonian Sorcerer sitting on my account wasting a character slot. I don't want to delete him because the mats from hirelings are quite usefull and I'm not going to level another character AND hunt for skyshards to level up crafting skill lines again JUST for mats. I would really like to race change my Argonian Sorcerer so I can actually put him to good use instead of sitting on my account just collecting small amounts of mats every 24 hrs. Race changing would save us all from our ruined characters we created when we first started out.

Also, relax please. It's not like everyone is going to make the decision of moving over to one faction of the game. In fact, if you ask me, it's a little one-sided towards AD at the moment so a race change would actually be good for the community, people would actually start dividing themselves into other factions to even it out.

People complaining about it happening clearly haven't thought it through properly. You're only complaining because things aren't going YOUR way. This game has millions of players, quit being selfish and think about the bigger picture for once.

Theyll probably do it right before they remove The veteran ranks. People spend true right money before having The option to play any race any class any alliance with a top leveled char in 2 days time

Name a game where you can do it. class change doesn't make sense at all in a open skill level system like eso is atm. just reroll a alt it's not that hard lol. and even with the removal of vet it won't take you more then 5 days really to get to level 50 and there are people bragging about they can do it in 2

I doubt that it will be free - it will most likely be like with reapplication of attribute and skill points - either to be paid in gold or crowns. It might even help the gameplay when it comes to quests, because there will be less people power levelling and so quests can be experienced like intended by new players, because they will not find that often all their opponents already dead when they arrive. I came across some quests where i had to fight nothing anymore, just get in and get the quest item, because all was already killed by others - that is not really fun for someone who wants to achieve this on his/her own.

I just have a character that I really like! And do not want to remake it cosmetically, but I do want to change the class 'cause I really don't like being a night blade. I never cared for passives. All I'm saying is why can't we have class change also.

I believe someone said it already: It was confirmed in either the last or the 2nd last ESO Live's Ask Us Anything segment where they affirmed along with Barber Shop that Race Change is coming, likely as a Crown Store thing, and Class Change is not.

Because that would pretty much spoil endgamers rotten lol as in 1 character, 1 playthrough, no further effort required. Those that don't PvP or raid 24/7 without wavering interest would get bored and quit. And from what I hear raids died out when they decided the rewards are garbage, hence the anticipation for the new Trial next DLC.

does make sense though to wait to add this feature after the barber shop. because we all know otherwise there will be QQ threats about how people can't change their apearance after they race change

Think about it: What's the one thing endgamers want more than anything (besides balance fixes and the like lol)? A quicker way to get to max level and stuff right? This is because they make alts to "reroll" Races and Classes, which means effort is needed which means more gameplay. With Race Change coming at least 4 alts are required to play all 4 Classes. With Class Change only 1 would be needed... That is far too convenient basically, and will rob people of much of the need to play the game further and not just the endgame.

That is literally the same as deleting and remaking the character, aka rerolling lol

i would actually be glad to spend money on a race change when i look at my char and someone else his/her char with the exact same gear and setup but a quite big stat diffrence (important stats)

Tbf when I first started I didn't realise I could change my facial features and stuff until I made an alt. My temp is running round like some snob nosed aristocratic dude.

Then they should not have drastically changed some racials (looking at you khajiit) from what they were at launch, and they shouldn't have completely upturned the meta at launch by removing soft caps. Frankly, I'd be with you if ZOS hadn't affected the systems so much over the past 2 years through no fault of the player. Just because wrobel can't figure out how to control the meta does not mean players should suffer for a race choice they made in good faith like almost all other games where racials were of minimal importance, remained constant, or received insignificant tweaks throughout the game. They matter SO much in ESO, khajiit has been drastically changed since launch (removed flat crit dmg racial making them the best for magicka), argonians used to have viable potion builds, and +% stat and regen racials used to not matter at all because soft caps were present.

It's really all on ZOS and they are the only ones to be blamed here. Racial changes are necessary simply because ZOS didn't know what they were doing and had to make sweeping changes multiple times throughout the past 2 years.

In a game where pvp, undaunted, and vet levels take mass amounts of grinding, re-rolls are easier said than done, especially for players with limited gaming time.

Why don't you guys just go and stand in a corner. At least that way flexibility in games won't overwhelm you.
