Do you think mount upgrades should be transferred over to your other characters?

A lot of people, like myself, buy our upgrades with crowns and we get disappointed with how they don't transfer to our other characters. Even people who buy there upgrades with gold are saddened by this feature (i guess thats the word)

I'd like them too but i doubt we will.

What i would like to see is that if we get a 60 on one such as speed or such then any new charas we make start at 20 or such?

It's painful going from a 60 speed horse with rapid to a new character.

Yes! Reason being that you pay for horse upgrades, and while they do work for all your horses,it is only for that one character. It should be for all, since it takes up all your crowns for the month.Unless you are a crown hoarder and you have tons of them. lol.

Yes and i have 6 characters with trained horses already. It was redundant to train them all considering it's the same horse i got with imperial edition. Bought two different sets of upgrades

I'm going to have to say no on this one as although it can be tedious (especially when we had 2 min loading screens), it makes you choose which characters to focus on. Not all 8 slots really need to be maxed out unless you play all of them. I for one have 1 main and a couple of alts and the rest are mules. I put all 60 points into storage on all 8 characters (not a very fun 60 days but happy I did it!) then focused on just my main after that.

Ppl will disagree but I have always felt that once mounts became account accessible that the upgrades should have also followed this path. It really doesn't make any sense other than the business profitability opportunity for ZOS to charge crowns for upgrades but that's just my opinion

It used to be like that, but it only used to be like that because the mount was actually back then, an 'Item' that you could 'bank' to other characters in the stable and have one active on each toon.

Since today they are account wide as default, from the Collections screen, It is only right that each character gets their own 'training levels' with that. Otherwise people would have to purchase mounts for each character like they used to be, and since there are crown store mounts, i'd doubt this will ever come to place.

Problem is that we have to remember which horse got the paid for upgrades.XD I cannot keep track of all characters and their horses. When I go into an alt,it's like going into a new game for me.Unless I write it all down,I wont remember most likely. So,if I decide to delete one,and it happens to be THE one I put said paid for upgrades into,I've lost them.

As long as someone has done the upgrade the long slow way, game gold only, then the upgrades should be applied to new characters. Those who buy upgrades with Crowns should have to upgrade each character.

Sucks needing to log on all my characters to train their mounts. I actually make an alt at least a month before I decide to play it just to get speed up to 30.

Unless Zos is willing to return the gold I forked over, and provide a big reward for all the time I spent training multiple alts, then no. It's not that much gold, but all the logging on a daily basis was a PITA.

This is actually a tough question from both a player and business standpoint. If this were p2p instead of f2p, I'd definitely go with extra purchases going account wide. With f2p, income has to come from optional subs and crown store purchases.

As a player, of course I want a one time purchase to apply to all my characters.

Well,it isnt all f2p.You still have to buy the game up front.Plus, many people continue to pay in subs,so they arent really going broke.

This would take money away from the crown store upgrades. If you want it, buy it. Why? Because I want the crown store to remain NON p2W. If they cant make money with costumes, respecs, etc.... what do you think the suits will turn to next?

I'm sure you mean "copied" rather than "transfered".

If you could actually transfer them (ie, they are removed from character A and applied to character B, that might work, but would be weird).

It really isn't that big a deal to train your skill each day when you make a new character.

A lot of valid points on both sides, but I don't think ZOS would want to lose those Crown Store riding lesson purchases. That may trump anything we say here.

For me, I've got a level 11 magicka nightblade that has hardly done any adventuring. But, after days of 250g in-game riding upgrades, is nearly 60/60/60 on mount. Kind of a nice goal to have attained.

No issues here, however, if other players don't like the slow process of maintaining a mount ... and are looking for shortcuts where possible.

6 months to max a mount is a really long time. So yes, it should be account wide.

Or shorten the duration, at least for the next mounts once you have one maxed out, could be a good idea.
