The Freedom to Choose

On occasion, can we (the players) get the chance to choose what glyph we want on any particular style weapon that's being rewarded to us, from a completed mission? Perhaps the weapon can be empty of any enchantments or attributes, and once we acquire it, we can customize the unique style weapon to our liking. What about getting the opportunity and option to learn how to craft the unique story-line weapon, instead of accepting the already made version?

You can glyph it at will later. You can also upgrade it (e.g. green to blue, etc). Only level, style and trait are fixed.

Well that's what I was hinting at. It would be cool if the weapon were blank so that the level could be boosted to the player's preference. Perhaps I would like that weapon for later in the game a V16. Currently, in order to do that, I would have to entirely avoid doing the mission that gives the weapon I want.

It's messed up if a weapon is gotten at V1 and since damage is based on the level of the weapon, even improving it will not allow it to reach the full potential that will due well for your higher level. So yeah, if ZoS could allow for more freedom to customize weapons... it would be great.

Just re-enchant the weapon/armor/trinket with a new glyph of your desire. I do that all the time...

Customizing the style however, that is something I really would love to see for master crafters, so we get some more varietee in ou looks at endgame, when the weapon / armor set selection becomes somewhat... limited.

Why can't we just get 2-3 pieces of armor to choose from?
Sure there are some quests where we can get only 1 item (it's logical connected with the quest itself), though for many quests it can work just fine.

You're confusing enchanting with item level.

Item Level and Trait are set at pickup. Nothing you can ever do will change that.
Item Quality can be upgraded if it isn't Gold anytime after pickup, barring Jewelry.
Item Enchantments can be changed at any time you wish as many times as you wish. All you have to do is get the Glyph to place the Enchantment and the new Enchantment will override the old one!

Um, with the exception of the final Fighter's Guild quest, all quest reward weapons are non-set. I.e., aside from any unique cosmetics, you can just craft that item yourself. Plus, being non-set, the item is trash, even at VR16, unless you have an orphaned weapon spot. The reward from the FG questline is a weapon from the Orgnum's Scales set, which is a craftable 8-trait set (a mediocre set that virtually nobody ever uses) in the Akaviri style. So that too can be crafted.

With the exception of the quest rewards from WGT and ICP's dungeon quests (healthy willpower necklace and reinforced endurance shield, respectively), quest reward items are just decon/vendor trash.
