Veteran Darkshade Caverns Grobull the Transmuted

I don't think I have seen someone post anything about the Grobull bug (if there were some threads about it, I must have missed them), so I decided to record the fight when I ran the pledge a couple days ago. The bug seems to make a toon go wild and fly through the fight area with super speed, but I don't actually know what causes it. I know this has happened to me more than once, but it is not always me that it happens to. I know the tank once was experiencing it (DK) so I'm not really sure what causes it (maybe Caltrops?). Anyways, here is the video:

Nope it's not your caltrops as a DK it happens why you use talons near the boss; said boss is able to reflect everything in his shielded phase this resulting in the DK taloning him/herself.

The result is just as you said flying all across the map, this happens in PvP I would somehow talon myself on a sorc causing me to fly like Pegasus across the battlefield.

Hmm, we had the same issue a week ago. No one was using caltrops though. We were thinking lag or something but weren't sure. Looks like it wasn't an isolated thing.

It happens in cyrodiil as well when caltrops are thrown on the flags

It also happens to a friend of mine when she uses caltrops on that particular boss. Pretty funny to hear her screaming about it

I've tested it on my stamplar, it isn't just caltrops, it's any ground based aoe. I went flying everywhere, even got thrown up to the ceiling (died due to fall dmg...go figure). I threw caltrops and this happened, and it also happened when I threw blazing spear. However, on my magblade Sap essence and elemental ring (impulse) do not seem to cause it.

It's happening with any AOE that causes CC. should also work with DK talons and stuff like that.

What's also funny is what happens when you charge the boss. First time you'll charge onto him and reflect the stun onto you, so you break free. Now immune to CC you charge on him again and instead ... the boss charges to you :')

It's his reflect mechanic causing those issues.

No one going to mention the other bug on this boss that allows you to avoid all his mechanics since they updated the dungeon? or we keeping that on the down low til more people have farmed the helm?

I would add it to the list but unfortunately I've not heard about that one yet.

not sure if genuine or trap to make me hated by all the PvE pug players. oh well guess they will start selling the Monster sets soon, so probably wont fix the bug anyway. ill send you a PM, its up to you what you do with this information then.

^ you can all just resto Grobul to death. Go the pool above by the centurion before agging Grobul, kill it and 3 of you wait by the pool, one person aggs Grobul and brings it to the pool. The adds despawn as soon as they touch the water nut Grobul remain. Resto staves go through his shield so voila any noobs can now destroy Grobul without a single death. ZOS I hace raised this several times for months now and you haven't fixed it. All you need to do is make it so he resets before the adds do. Not a hard patch at all.

LOL. Resto heavies?! That sounds so tedious and slow.

Most people who farm vDSC should be able to kill him much faster the normal way.

They should but I'm sure you know that most people that suck at this game belive that engine guardian will solve all their problems and they want this set above any others. Not sure why I think it's pretty crap for all dps based players but hey. After any pledge I am always asked if I'll grind dsc out with them.
