Convenience catch-up items you want to see in the Crown Store?

If you are against anything perceived as pay-to-win (like me), that's all well and fine. We have our view and express it here on the forum. Good for us. "When I was your age I had to walk up-hill both ways to get a white-level weapon drop and was glad to get it..."

But there are plenty of players who want to be able to cut down the time it takes for character progression, either when they start the game or when they make an alt. So, for those people, which item would you most want to see added to the Crown Store?

(I personally wouldn't want any of these items added, but neither I nor any other single person on the forums speak for the entire player-base, and everyone should be able to say what they want to see in the game even if others disagree.)

i would LOVE to have a companion with me!
same was in morrowind and skyrim and it SHOULD be part of the dark brotherhood skill line to have a companion for us nightblades.

they have this in dungeons and dragons online mmo and i loved it and so did all my friends, we were allowed even up to 6 NPC hirelings with us. i loved it!

comes in extremely handy when you cant find groups, and or a healer or damage dealer, just pop out the hireling and we were good to go.

we could even dress them and give them top of the line armor and even marry them :)

i cant stress enough how badly i want the hirelings.

This poll is for people who *want* such items. I am not a fan of them, and would say "no" to all of them, but other players (and perhaps ZOS) disagree. I am curious what players who are willing to buy faster progression see as desirable/undesirable, acceptable/unacceptable, etc.

Yeah, all fresh vr1s will be very happy when they will enter vet CoA, ICP or WGT as tehir first dungeon ever. Or when they will try vet pvp and will be demolished.
    Cannot skip learning curve, y'know.
Shard Seeking Scroll: Instantly collect all undiscovered skyshards in your current zone (one scroll per zone): 1.5K crowns
I hate collecting skyshards and lorebooks on alts, but I hate this option even more.
Skipping content is stupid. Not to mention that a person who tries to skip everything even on their 1st char will be disappointed when he/she tries vr16 content. I saw enough people who just grinded a char and dont have any idea how to play it.
Scroll of AP boosting (30% more AP gained for two hours): 600 crowns
Its already in game. Just go to any Cyro delve that is not used for grinding and kill the boss. 20% ap boost for 1 hour.
Lucky Fishing Pole: Increases odds of catching rare fish by 20%, lasts one hour: 300 crowns
I personally think that fishing system needs rework.
But this will be really unfair for those who have Master angler achievement already.
NPC Hireling: Hire a fighter or mage to accompany you for 2 hours (doesn't work in instanced group content or PvP areas): 200 crowns
This might be a nice idea... But only if these mercenaries would be available for ingame gold, not for crowns. ;)

Unless you are wanting an alt after already leveling to level 50. New players can buy it too, if they want. I added this because I've seen people asking for it on the forums.

As I've said a couple of times, I would reject all of these, but, some people may be happy to pay for this. If so they can indicate their support. Again, I can see people making alts liking this.

Scroll of AP boosting (30% more AP gained for two hours): 600 crowns

Yup, but XP gains from Rings of Mara, ESO Plus Membership, and XP scrolls stack, so this could too. PvE players who want to rank up in the Alliance War enough to unlock a few skills might be tempted by this.

Lucky Fishing Pole: Increases odds of catching rare fish by 20%, lasts one hour: 300 crowns
I personally think that fishing system needs rework.
But this will be really unfair for those who have Master angler achievement already.
Existing convenience items might be seen as unfair in a similar way, but I don't see anything being pulled for that reason.

NPC Hireling: Hire a fighter or mage to accompany you for 2 hours (doesn't work in instanced group content or PvP areas): 200 crowns
This might be a nice idea... But only if these mercenaries would be available for ingame gold, not for crowns. ;)
I am betting this will be the most popular item in the poll.

    THIS.
Content is the core in any game, not cash shop fluff and so-called "catchup" stuff. These days there's no goals to "catch-up" for anyway. So if it would be possible to skip all pre-vr16 content, the situation would be really sad.

I wouldn't mind the Lucky Fishing Pole. It doesn't add to the chance of catching Perfect Roe which would be more gamebreaking than allowing a player to get an achievement and dye quicker. They'd still have to go to all those different zones including Cyrodil to catch the fish.

It wont break your statistics, the relative proportion of those who voted for various"catch-up" items will stay the same.
But a poll posted on an open forum should include options for every user.
The thing is, this kind of stuff is really controversial because of obvious reasons and it looks like you want to "mute" those who dont like the idea.

The thing is, the story changes when you start talking about alts. Someone might be totally against a new player paying for a pre-leveled character, but that same person will easily jump at the chance not to have to grind out a third, fourth, fifth alt. I think the "I did it before, so you should have to too" argument doesn't really hold water. Isn't that kinda the same thing as binding certain elements to an account?

I mean, there are people who probably have spent a lot of money on experience scrolls. They've probably leveled up faster than their RL skill and they are now in over their heads. However, if you ever ran unto such a player in PVP, you'd probably waste them and keep moving, not even giving a second thought as to how they leveled their character. Likely, the same would happen for purchasing a pre-leveled character. On the flip-side, if someone bought a pre-leveled character and totally rekt you you probably wouldn't know the difference there either.

I'm meh on the idea across the board. It doesn't affect my immersion and it might make some money to keep the lights on.

Well, vet ranks removal is supposed to solve this problem.
I actually think that more stuff should be account-wide (or just made easier to get on 2nd,3rd etc char). But adding it to cash shop is a really controversial idea, and Zos would step on a very slippery slope if they listen to the people who want to pay for progression.

I totally agree. I actually edited after you responded - I feel like this is similar to the elements that people want bound to accounts. Why shouldn't those people grind it out on their 5th character? Someone else already did. So, we'll always have this argument of people doing things the "right way" and the paid way. It's a slippery slope for sure, and I think it bugs people most in the PVP realm. However, I think RL skill will prevail in that instance.

I had another thought too. This may give a person levels, but it may not give titles, dyes, etc. Do those things become more valuable in an economy where you can buy your skill, but not your achievements?

I think the "I did it before, so you should have to too" argument doesn't really hold water.

I wouldn't mind the Lucky Fishing Pole. It doesn't add to the chance of catching Perfect Roe which would be more gamebreaking than allowing a player to get an achievement and dye quicker. They'd still have to go to all those different zones including Cyrodil to catch the fish.
Speaking of fishing, something that isn't really progression purchasing/catch-up for cash but still a convenience would be a bait pack: 200 crawlers, 200 insect parts, 200 guts, 200 worms for 100 crowns :relieved:

Shard Seeking Scroll: Instantly collect all undiscovered skyshards in your current zone (one scroll per zone): 1.5K crowns
I decided to pick at least one...but all of this is really what is considered pay2win

Now I would like to have on console a shard finder but its not necessary or hard because I can use a smart device or snap Edge and find them
