Why is people trying to use the arena district to 1 vs 1

This is exactly the kind of reaction that makes disrupting duels sound fun! I'm gonna go to the arena today and rain down meteors and arrows from above on some salty duelers and I'm gonna get me some of them salty tears :^)

I like to duel, but if they're stupid enough to do it in the arena district then it's fair game. It's not like there's yellow and black fences around the area with blinking neon lights that say "DUEL IN PROGRESS DUEL IN PROGRESS"

Absolutely spot on, of all the places to organise duels, the Arena District is possibly one of the more frequented places in IC, and therefor the dumbest place to organise them..
Personally I don't get the craving for duels but if people want to do them I wont get in the way, usually you can see them since there will be some people from opposite factions just standing round while 2 people slog it out, if I do attack someone in the area (or I accidentally pull King Khrogo and pass the agro to someone) then I don't expect to receive messages about it..

No offence, but check builds out and learn and get better, instead of constantly crying about nerfs, just cos you have no idea how to play your classes.

I have never seen a stam sorc use Bombard against a DK in all the time I have been playing, (Early Access), then moan cos they died in a couple of hits, you were critted with rush and also WBed, and using bombard which is meant for multiple targets on one target?

I'm on xbox one people are doing 1v1 in the arena district too. ZOS should take this as a sign that we need an official dual arena pvp for 1v1 and small group

100% this. Dueling is fun and fine to do in a remote area of the map. Dueling on the arena doorsteps, which is the single most disputed territory in the entire game world is insanely self centered. Not only are you not playing the "correct way" (which is fine in the remote parts of Cyrodiil) but you are actively blocking others from getting the arena rewards locked directly behind them.

Often seen duels going on in ps4 eu arena on scourge. Reds and sometimes yellows and blues.

I join in sometimes, due to no text chat we use a 'bash' to signify if you want to fight someone, basic rule is if someone else comes in you leave the others to finish them off, I've fought some Damm good players, and organised 1v1 or 1v2 is the only way to actually test your build against another good player.

If you know their good, then you can try different builds, and actually see if it'll work or not, not a single n00b wrecking blow or suprise attack spammer in sight since they are always so easily shut down.

Fought a sorc from AD the other night that was insanely good, perfect counter to every move my templar had, after 6 odd fights I managed to win by switching some new skills around, and trying to have more burst damage.

I've seen duelers in Imperial City.

If I were to duel, I'd do it in Cyrodiil, where the vast openness means that we would never have to worry about interference.

The nice thing about IC, though, is the proximity and convenience of the respawn points. But if you're going to duel in IC, then don't be surprised if people stumble across your duel, since it will happen, and that's the price you're paying for convenience. Get over it.

It's been a place used on PS4 for weeks now to duel, along side having them in remote Cyrodiil locations. It's easily accessible to all factions, close spawns, and everyone knows where the duels are going to be.

It is very obvious these are not hostile when you approach, so you can either carry on with what you are doing, Join in, or try to disrupt. Keep in mind nobody will help you if you jump duels and you will be fighting some very good players so your chance of survival is low.

There is literally no reason anyone should be mad about Arena District IC. You don't farm anything good there, we aren't in the only quest area the actual Arena, and we aren't interfering with the Alliance war topside. Once there is an official way to conduct 1v1, 1vx, 4v4s, etc I'm sure the "problem" will be solved.

Also saying 98% of ppl want duels is incorrect. ZOS knows their player metrics and release dlc to cater to it. I don't see any dlc for duelling.

This is what I was thinking. I've belonged to two dueling guilds and both used Cyrodiil, but that was before the IC opened. I can see the advantage to having a closer respawn since it sometimes took a bit to get back to the dueling zone, depending upon your faction.

Yeah, I want to agree with that and yet I kind of don't. I'll agree as long as the request is reasonable and it doesn't prevent me from playing the game.

What is the arena? Are there achievements associated with the Arena? (I know the answer to these questions. Do you?) Does your use of the Arena prevent me from using it for it's designed purpose? The answers to those questions are what will determine whether or not you will get the respect from me you want.

Like I said, I don't any problem with dueling. But what you're suggesting is akin to me entering a group dungeon and having a player approach me and say, "Sorry, this dungeon is off-limits tonight because we want to use it to farm. So you have to go somewhere else."

Of course, it would be useful if anyone form Zenimax cared enough about their game to try and come up with solutions for any of this, but I think we can safely assume that's never going to happen - as I've been here since day one and I have never see them do anything about a report of a player interfering with the game.

So like you say, you ask nicely and if I don't comply, then you gank. Fair enough. You gank me for playing the game and I absolutely promise you that I will call every one of my fu***** guildies down and we will run a gank squad that will turn the IC Arena into the war zone it's designed to be.

There is a building on a little island in Cyrodiil, you have to jump over the water to get there it is off the path out of the way no one goes there expect to fish, a perfect place to duel inside the building, no one around no one to see you or interfere, you can record it and put another boring epeen video on the forums. /shrug

Duel if you want, just GET OUT OF THE WAY. You guys (duelers) need to make your own little underground network of dueling areas where not alot of traffic goes through. Don't freakin duel in high traffic areas (or areas where people are known to gank, or quest areas) and then get mad when someone jumps in to help.

Duelers are not stopping anyone from farming arena. Also to everyone saykng how cyrodil is so big, ya we kno , thats why we can find other duellers. I duel in arena and i have failed sincr launch to find a duelling guild. I cant just run around cyrodil and find a duel, noone is organizing this. And if you are so bothered by these duellers why dont you all go elsewhere, they never have stones so after u realize its a duel how are you anything but a troll

Yeah, everyone else. You get out of the Imperial City, let the duelers have their way, dueling on the steps of the Arena, rather than out in the middle of Colovia where there's nothing but grasslands.

Are you serious? On its best days that area is crowded with 50+ people from every faction locked in a battle royal. That real estate is the single best area in the entire game world for medium size fights. The duelers are ruining it. So many of you are complaining about us evil PVPers ruining your fun ... have you EVER considered that what you are doing is actively ruining other people's fun too? And you can't find a guild? C'mon. Take 2 minutes to go the guild recruitment page on this board, or just ask into your headset the other people you seem to have no problem finding in the arena.

This is not about dueling. Dueling is a great time. This about respecting one single area that is basically the heart of PVP and using it in its designed way.

The entire sewers rarely has 50 ppl total now so b real. Go look at guild recruitment thread u dont see one duelling guild post for xbox na. And the headset only connects to ppl in the same faction so how do i duel them. I didnt sugges u leave ic. In fact i have seen and personally farmed arena while duels were goin on and noone bothered me. The whole point is its not duelling guilds in arena its random people who like to duel. Should i just show up to cheydinhal and wait for someone o show up?

I'm on XBox NA. I found a dueling guild because I was invited to one. It's not very hard.

50+ people fighting there has happened many, many times. What campaign are you on? If it's one with a small population it's less of an issue, but if you're doing this on a pop locked server you should be shunned.

And call it trolling, call it whatever you want. I just completely disagree with you and will probably now spend most of tonight ganking duelers because of you.

Lol haderus is the only locked campaign now and usually there is absolutely noone there except duellers. Those 50+ fights have not happened since ic dropped and u know it. I have run from ep side to an opposite faction throughthe sewers in about 10 minutes and found nothing but crickets. U found a duellig guild because u were invited to one doesnt say anything helpful lol.

I've always been against the dueling mentality because it limits the variety in the game. I tend to play with a very unique playstyle most people would scoff at but i don't really care.

It's just something you need to learn to deal with. There will always be these player's around trying to boast they got skill. These player's will relize the game is alot more fun when you work together and create combo's in small scale pvp or large. Large scale pvp is favored currently but this game is still a work in progress.

As a solo ganker/large scale player, i have ton's of fun and it's really the dueler's who ruin it for me. To one their own though.
