no... it isnt since it means some people who disagree might not be scammers cuz some people whom of which are in guilds i joined dont scam bytes they do however sell them and giv them for free at times

What's with all the whiners lol? Nobody is making any of you use the crown store....

Seems some of you don't realise how easy bites are to come by, I literally only have to ask once in either of my guilds an will get 2-3 people offering me what I want, if you want to have it done in an "Immersive" way lol just go find the creatures yourself why do you even care if John Doe goes an gets his infection from the crown store?

Why is everyone so mad? If it were tough to get a bite then I'd understand but if you want to get bit for free just hang out at a shrine for 5 minutes and some random player will bite you.

I don't really see what the problem is. Yeah I guess it's great if you're in "that guild" that gives bites for free, but I'm getting sick and tired of dealing with *** scammers who kill vamp and wolf spawns or dance around the alters wanting money only to run away after they've scammed, and it's pissing me off, and since I guess Zeni can't ban them for whatever reason, they might as well do this. Thank your local *** scammer for why these are in the store, or it wouldn't have even been an issue.

Great news. I have both already....so i dont buy even. But exaly its just big headcake trying to find vampire or werewolf and if u find some scums just trying kill tham so ask money from players. Based on the response from people you would think it took days to get through the quest after a bite. It's minutes. Not even half an hour. If someone is going to put their cash up to do something they could have got for free more power to them.

I never had a problem with the quests, my biggest gripe was about the scammers that stand around the shrine just waiting to scam players who want a bite; demand money and promise a bite, but then run off the moment they have the gold. That and the same *** who kill spawn sites. I've personally dealt with both of these (though not been scammed; I have spoken to a scammer though, sounded enough like an ***). I always showed up on a Friday and gave a free bite to a random player because of this, but then you hear from the other end how recipients are scamming by getting cured the moment you give them a bite O_o

I think the big issue people have is this is now a p2w situation, it has nothing to do with the quest.

I doubt that it is possible to add anything to the store without getting some negative feedback. Seriously, what's the problem? You can get it in game the hard way and especially since its not the only way to get it, in no way it breaks game immersion. You can get it free from a guildie or you can pay gold and hope not to get scammed and since its not that expensive you can try your luck again. Nothing to see here, moving on, lets add more crown store items!

Well... I do need Caltrops, that part's true. But don't worry, the rest is just relatively harmless mockery. I have to admit I'm a little surprised that consoles haven't yet established a reliable net of infections; PC players don't need crown store bites because they're so extremely easy to get for free from other players.

Yeah that's a new thing that is happening now. A few of my guild members have told me that after giving their bite for free, the person has done something along the lines of "Haha,I'm going to get cured now,you just wasted your bite", but I've told them that the bite still counts for their total free bites given and the guild total. And also since they were going to give the bite for free anyway, no one is really losing out. Except the troll who got cured.

I don't see any problem to add such thing in the crown store.

Has some already explained, I kind of hate people who're selling both bites for ridiculous amount of money (in game gold).
At least now, people have the option to have it for free (thanks to the help of any friend or guildmate) or buy it in the crown store... keep in mind that it's still possible to buy it with in game gold if they want.

Guys, think to people who are casual and not hardcore, not in guild, mainly play solo... they just want to have fun the way they want not the way you think they should have fun.

Last thing, I prefer to give money in the crown store to ZOS so they can keep on doing their good work on releasing DLC, new area etc rather than adding gold in the pocket of greedy people.

That's just my opinion and I know that many will not agree but honestly I'll still sleep deeply tonight.

Complaints here were never really about the vamp/werewolf "bite" in the store specifically.

I get that there are circumstances (for console; because their game is not that old yet and they lack useful global communication tools to ask random ppl for a bite) which would merit this one "convenience" item.
But this is besides the point and actually no one but Z themselves are to blame for that train wreck because they deliberately choose to exclude written /zone chat for you console guys.

An acceptable way for this one specific situation would have been to put really only the "bite" in the store - for a couple of crowns - and then you'd have to continue in-game from there. Did not happen.
Of course they could not charge 1500 for one lousy bite only - so let's put in the whole quest together with it.

A conspiracy nut... *quickly hides tinfoil hat*... could even argue that Z anticipated this would happen from previous PC platform observations (we had this "bite" problem for a few weeks right after game start, too, but it quickly dissipated soon after) and they engineered this whole situation again on console: starting with withholding useful global communication tools from console which would lead to an even higher demand for these bites on the platform. And then posing as knight in shinning armor coming to the rescue with this store item.

The whole point is that putting anything which allows conveniently skipping content in the Clown Store is just... bad.
It poisons the game. Because together with this they need to create a reason/incentive for ppl to want to buy it.

That first item which clearly deviates from the long promoted path about "cosmetic items" only in the store now fully opens up Pandora's box. Previously items like the XP scrolls and motifs and stuff were just peaking inside the box - a little.
But now it's finally blown open and anyone who gives a *** about the game should not like what's inside... really not.
This is a dangerous path which sooner or later will lead to the next item to skip content for cash. And another and another... lots of them.

The decision to split up all new motifs in pages and lock them away behind insane amounts of grinding is another symptom of this path; same goes for the V16 mat requirements; and they even admitted that they made the laurel needed for the merc motif BoP because at some point they might want to add it to the Store, too. One might argue that Z deliberately starts to hurt/punish the casual gamer for not buying certain items.

Not before long this path will mutate into a downhill highway with a big, fat solid rock formation at it's end... and if you look carefully you can already see the silhouette of this formation down there in the foggy distance.

Wow, I am a bit late to the show here, but this is a terrible thing to put in the crown store. Getting those bites was one of the best parts of the game. Really disappointed to see this kind of thing.
