New crown store item's! (Crown store hype thread 1)

Inb4: White Tiger Senche Mount, Cheetah Senche Mount, Cougar Senche Mount, Lion (male) Senche Mount, Frost Senche, Fire Senche Mount, Black Bear Mount, Frost Bear Mount, and Fire Bear Mount.

Oh look, I just did months of Zos's creative crown-store brainstorming in a few seconds.

(Sorry, I'm in a bit of a salty mood at the moment, this usually doesn't happen).

P.S. Cash shop is OPTIONAL, don't be so judgmental of what other people do with their money as some of us actually make enough money to spend a little on "stupid" things.

Exactly. Moreover, even if you disagree with people spending money on "frivolous" items, yet enjoy the game as a whole, these people's money helps keep the game going.

Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

I bought the brown bear and regret it so hard, the bears run animation is just TERRIBLE. Also those other outfits are all pretty meh for me. The dresses are cool though.

I have also brown bear, I regret it, and I can't use it because animation give me nausea when he runing. :(

I did not purposefully try to belittle or insult anyone. I was here long before the crown store. I have seen what the game was like before and what it has become. I have seen the regular, quality, bug-free content that subscription models can provide. I am legitimately disgusted by these threads and I'll tell you why.

It's not about people being excited for a Baby Netch. It's not about the people in these threads at all. It's about being lied to and strung along. It's about investing a lot of time and effort into a hobby that I feel is being destroyed by this business model.

We were told, all of us, that ESO will NOT go FTP, yet here we are, getting excited about a damned dress in the crown store and yes, I am disgusted by it. ESPECIALLY after seeing IC, Orcinium, and all the bugs and lag that still exist in this game. This business model enables them to continue releasing this garbage.

Hey guys the game doesn't work but here is a pretty pink princess dress for you. That'll be 20 dollars please.

If you want to be bent about the direction the game has taken, and the change in priorities by ZOS, that's fine. I'd even be likely to agree with you with on many points.

But don't take it out on the players that like to purchase this kind of "fluff" by directly insulting those players. Like it or not, it's players like the OP that are providing the primary monetary support for this game. So if you want to keep playing this game, you should instead be saying to them, "Thank you for buying all this crap so I don't have to! I really appreciate that you are willing to pay for this game, and allow it to continue to exist."

This viewpoint is bull****. I do pay for this game. I'm sitting on like 10k crowns that I would happily trade for a functioning game.

It's more like, "why are you guys buying all this crap to enable them to release more crap". As long as you are willing to pay for s*** that has no gameplay value, you will continue to be fed s*** that has no gameplay value, and there is no incentive to actually provide you with s*** that has gameplay value.

It's also recommended by my senior adviser that the black bear mount not be ridden by anyone but the animations be reversed and the riders carry the bear.

The above is satire and joke, if this joke regarding a video game offends anyone, we'll try a University these days I hear they are offering safe spaces where you can say nothing, do nothing, pratice nothing, hold no opinion, tell no joke, or otherwise offend anyone or yourself.

You will not learn, you will not grow, you will not be prepared for anything outside of your safe space but you will not be offended, probably.

To those who can take a joke and enjoy Satire Im considering starting a Black Bears Matter Guild and holding weekly meetings secretly somewhere in Orsimium, anyone interested?

I never understood how a game studio could sustain itself by selling fluff for absurd prices. This isn't anything personal it's just really surprising to me that these personality types exist in such numbers as to sustain such a whack business model.

I could personally never buy this garbage and it's really hard for me to wrap my head around people who do.

Just look at these forums light up about the new crown store items. It's kind of disgusting TBH.

Won't be buying the Snow Bear mount, I bought the Brown Bear mount, and like others above have said the animation on it sucks, to the point it made me motion sick to ride it, lol. So I went back to my Senche-Leopard, which speaking of that, when I bought the leopard it was a rush to get the crowns to buy it because it was a limited edition "Welcome Back Weekend only mount" and now they are putting it back in the crown store???? Why am I not surprised?

No more of me rushing to buy something that I think I won't be able to get in the future, just wait a few months ZOS will eventually put it back in the store. Nevertheless I like my leopard and will continue to enjoy the fact that riding it doesn't make me motion sick and in the meantime "Theodore" my Cave Bear Mount can go into hibernation, after all it is Winter.

If that's your issue then make your own thread and explain yourself and gather people who agree with you to try and change ZOS's mind. Don't come into a positive thread and try to belittle and demean people for enjoying something they like which is TRULY OPTIONAL. It just makes you look like you're attacking people for liking cosmetic upgrades.

Your anger is misplaced. It's not the people that are willing to buy fluff items that are causing the problem. It's the players who are NOT willing to pay a sub fee to play an MMO. In reality, most times those are NOT the same people.

I've played an MMO that was sub-based AND had a cash shop for vanity items. I actually still enjoyed paying extra and purchasing the fluff cosmetic crap, on top of paying the normal sub fee, because I liked that stuff. I also liked the game, and didn't want to see it go F2P.

Turns out that the game eventually went F2P anyway, and when it did, they had to start adding P2W stuff to the cash shop. That's when I quit. At least ESO isn't doing that.

Point is, it's not people like the OP that enjoy buying fluff cosmetic items that broke this game. It was the lack of a solid enough base game to be able to retain the sub-based model, combined with today's flighty ADD gamers that aren't willing to pay sub fees anymore. That's what forced ZOS's hand, and now, they HAVE to focus on making more of this fluff crap, because that's the ONLY way they can make $$$ with today's stupid MMO playerbase.

Sure, if they had fixed a lot of the game's problems BEFORE going F2P, they may have been able to string the sub model on a bit longer. But in today's world, going F2P is virtually inevitable, and once the line's been crossed, there's no going back. Blaming the people that are willing to keep supporting the game isn't going to help, and as I said, it's misplaced anger, because they weren't the ones that caused the problem.

A personal attack is committed when a person substitutes abusive remarks for evidence when attacking another person's claim or claims.

You claim that people who buy things from the Crown Store are:

    1. "Silly"
    2. "Easily Pacified"
    3. purchase "Crap"

Please prove any of these things. You can't. Instead you result to personal attacks on a group of people because their opinion differs from yours.

I have no shame whatsoever in saying that I don't understand how people can buy this crap. I'm sure the people who buy this crap are fine people, albeit easily pacified and a bit silly IMO.

You directly attacked everyone in this thread telling us we are "easily pacified", "silly" etc. if we like cosmetic items. You are entitled to your opinion, however you are not entitled to ride in here on your high horse and declare we are all easily pacified morons for liking COSMETIC ITEMS IN A ROLE PLAYING GAME. You don't have to buy them, go make your own thread to be a negative nancy.

This view point is also bogus. Perfectly capable animation and programming guys are working on these items that could otherwise be helping to fix Toppling Charge for example.

Where's your proof? You really think they don't have separate teams for this?
