I go to Cyrodil with my V9 Dk and die in 2 seconds. I relog with my v8 NB and kill in 2 seconds. Fear, jump, suprise attack. This game seriously needs Cooldowns for good PvP

Unfortunately, if history is upheld, nightblades will be nerfed too hard or something else will be buffed too much and then everyone will shelf their NBs for a while. It's the current flavor of the month because it's so strong in pvp right now.

NBs are very vulnerable without selfheal. Just use caltrops. Only OP class is a magicka sorc - in good hands he is not killable, using shields and daedric minefield.

Should be utilizing your DK abilities better.

It should take AT LEAST 2 minutes of nonstopping beating down on your DK for you to die to a single NB if you have all your tanky buffs up.

Or....are you one of those fabled DPS DKs?

Anyways Nightblades aren't nearly as good as ppl make them out to be, their biggest weakness is fights that don't end instantly with a couple big hits since most NBs even good ones go full on power and lack the ability to keep their resources up during fights.

If you as a Dragonknight live long enough for a NB to waste their resources you'll win since its not like the tank build for NBs are really all that tanky, NB will forever be one of the squishiest choices.

Throw caltrops and you've doomed a NB.

I personally run into more Sorcs trying to gank than NBs recently since the Julianos set came out.

Nerf NBs! Well ok jack up DKs then.. NBs whined and whined and got there way, same old same old only a different Game...

I guess more DKs need to flood this board like the NBs did. ;) Well if there are any left...

i think the dk has the highest 'hardcore' fanbase of the 4 classes actually. but many have just given up on Zos and just rerolled.

You can also play stam DK and kill NB's in 2 seconds

But yes, we're all playing The Elder Scrolls Nighthblade edition right now. Entire IC DLC was also exclusively made for nightblades, making it even more absurd.

While In PvE, it's ironically the The Elder Scrolls Sorcerer edition. Maelstrom Arena is the sorcerers DLC.

But I guess lower and upper Craglorn, back when it came out, was a bit of a DK dps edition.

Still waiting for my templar DLC :bawling:

I've never been one for QQ rage quit threats, but if this game adds cooldowns to skills, I will leave this game. I love the fluid, non-cooldown gameplay. If I wanted to play cooldown manager 2015, I would play nearly every other MMO.

Cooldowns would pretty much ruin the game. The game is not designed with them in mind, and a complete overhaul would need to be done if they were added to the majority of skills. Imagine VR16 dungeons with a CD attacted to every skill. And if you're only interested in PVP, that's fine. However the game has to exist as a whole, not a portion.

For CD's to be added to skills, content in the entirety of the game would need to be rebalanced. Light and Heavy attacks would need to be folded into some sort of a combo system to keep with action feel of the game. (Try just Light or Heavy attacking an enemy to death. Wasn't that fun...) Then guess what people would then complain, "X class is no skill. It's just button mashing and using Y skill on CD...meh!"

ESO is not likely in the near future have CD's on the majority of skills. ZOS might put a CD on a few skills for balance, but by no means all of them. If that is what you are looking for out of ESO you're going to be disappointed.

This problem will never go away as long as CP are applied account wide
Its simply to easy to copy the new FOTM build ,we saw that with IC..PTS went live and then a race to get a NB levelled that in itself was always going to cause problems for IC
How can they balance it? make all classes equal which in my opinion will be a disaster
I am always amused when i see these threads players scream nerf this or that but would never give up cp being account wide.
It is a similar thing with AOE and lagg players want to have it sorted but are not willing to have AOE removed from PVP or compromise in any way

Something needs to done to encourage what little players we have left to stay and try and encourage more to return

The balance in this game indeed is horrible.

If ZOS continues to cripple all classes except NBs,
in the end we will have the same effect as if we had no classes at all:

All people will just play a NB.

@CrowsDescend In PvP yes, in PvE? HA! No. PvE is like legit balanced around every class but NB with Sorc being able to do everything easily.

NB takes the most skill for PvE content believe it or not since not one build allows a NB to do everything without difficulty.

For example when trying to find DPS for a Vet Dungeon ppl will always go for Templars or Sorcs over NB.

NB in ESO is pretty much just a PvP class and it only really shines there when ganking unsuspecting players.

If a player knows what hes doing and is buffing up properly 99% of NBs will get rekt since they go full weapon damage and such with little to no ability to keep their resources up excluding food/drinks (cuz everyone copies the flavor of the month builds which are all about dat wep dmg over all else), not to mention that caltrops ruins NBs days.

Which in turn baffles me as to why ppl want it nerfed in the only place where it shines.

Buff NB significantly for PvE content and I see no viable reason for people to complain if it gets toned down for PvP.

    LoL Really?

NBs second only to Sorcs in vMSA.
NBs perpetually second best DPS in trials.
NBs capable of soloing some vet dungeons.
    NBs normal solo DSA runners.

And I actually got temps and Dks kicked out of groups just because the lead wanted my Nb to replace them quite a few times.

    Platform?

On the xbone NBs are at the bottom for vMSA and trials.

They are also avoided like the plague outside the undaunted enclave.

Those are only possible I assume if you have those PC add ons so you'll know exactly when everything such as buffs and the like are about to go down and can plan accordingly.

You have to play flawlessly pretty much is what I'm getting at.

    I'm assuming you're a PC player.

Don't forget to specifiy magicka when referring to these amazing pve feats, which isn't the spec people complain about.

Stam nb in pve is average. Definitely gets the job done, certainly nothing to brag about.

PvP has always been awful experience for me in this game. 90% of the time, I hate it. If only I can get those PvP skills without actually PvPing. From my experience, even with decent amount of health, I simply cannot survive in PvP. How do I expect to react in a fight that last 5 seconds? Get CC'ed, WB and Execute. Get CC'ed, Surprised Attack, Execute. That is pretty much sum up my experience in Cyrodiil so far.

pvp will never be competitive or balanced in this game and never has been, period. Accept it and stay or move on.

bugs, exploits, poor game design, lag, spammable skills, over nerfing, under buffing, always one class that happens to get buffed above the rest then over nerfed for the next flavor of the month...

It has been this way since beta...not going to change.

Oh and champion points....can't forget those...

    Yes. PC.
I don't think it has to do with platform though . I haven't used a buff tracker in ages.and I am certainly not arrogant enough to claim that I play flawlessly. NBs and especially Mag NBs still have some great tools for solo and group pve. I certainty take another mag NB DPS with me over any other class in a PUG.
