Eidetic Memory completion

As a completionist I have been hunting notes, letters, pages and books all throughout Wrothgar to try and find every last one.

Inevitably I have missed a couple even thought I sought high and low.

@ZOS I want to ask if it possible to implement a way so that we can complete this in a feasable way? Or at least can I know if it possible to find all the notes by reading bookshelves?

Maybe some crafty programmers of ESO know how to make a community addon so we can help each other mark locations of these notes and help each other complete the Eidetic Memory.

There are over 2600 notes in Tamriel at the moment. Blessed be those who try to find them all.

if you are on pc, try the addon "lorebooks", it shows all the books on the map

This only shows the mages guild line books. He's looking for all the other random notes (like me!)

It'd be nice to collect them all and then just sit down and read every one of them. I often read a lot of books I come across - and every note especially as it's usually relevant, but it'd be nice to know that I really read everything.

I want this as well, but sadly you can't find all notes from bookshelves. Some are only found in the wild like riddles and criminal correspondence and such.

@Robo_Hobo Yes! I would very much love this. Like reading a book before bedtime. I know the imperial library is on the internet but imagine cozying up by a fire (in game or in real life) and pick a book/note from your memory!

@Faunter Okay, thank you for the insight. This makes it a good deal harder. Not unexpected, though.

Bookshelves don't always give the same book, though. I think they have a set number of books that they will show you randomly.

I would like a way to track the unique notes, though. That would be fun.

I have read somewhere else that different zones have different "level" books. Not sure if that only counted for skill books.

In all seriousness if there was a way to avoid getting Eidetic Memory when completing the Mage's Guild questline I would do it. Why did Shalidor curse me for helping him? Perhaps Sheogorath wasn't the only mad one after all.

@Personofsecrets It used to be that all the ones found in solo instances like the Main Quest, Fighters Guild, and Mages Guild ones were only obtainable during specific quests, but ZOS has since put them outside of the Harborages (with the exception of Aldimion's Journal, which is still currently inaccessible) and in the Guild Halls. I am not sure if there are any other unreadable notes, but it wouldn't surprise me to find out that there is.

Thanks for the info. That is interesting. There were some notes in special Wrothgar quest instances too. I wonder about those.

BTW, if anything get's updated with Eidetic Memory, then I hope that the developers also give us a quest to get those 3 skill points. Even after Wrothgar I still need more x_x.

I'm at 2142/2632. I would probably try to finish it all but I have no idea where any of the stuff I'm missing is located. Every once in a while I'll comb through an area when I'm really bored and I can find a couple I missed.

So that's why I can't complete some of the wrothgar books....been driving me nutz...pretty sure some of them are bugged and don't update. Apparently been broken for months.

I wish we could get an update if they are going to help us collect them or if someone knows how to make an addon where people can submit their data for a collective guide.

I am actually very close to completion, there's some stuff in there right now that are for events coming up and I haven't done much of the DB content as I'm trying to allow a bit of a gap in content so I can actually spend a lot of time doing new things but I basically log in every day and hunt lore books and notes while looting nodes.

I'll post a screen of my Lore Library and Eidetic when I get home... I think y'all will be impressed.

ZOS is pretty good about moving books to unlocked areas after quests, but they do miss some. Not surprising as there are so many of them.

I would imagine this one could slow down game performance if you have other map mods like Harvest Map, Skyshards, Destinations etc cluttering up your map. It may not, but you notice slowness, considering disabling other map addons while searching out your books.
