Maintenance for the week of January 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – January 6
• NA megaservers for maintenance – January 8, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 8:00AM EST (13:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – January 8, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 13:00 UTC (8:00AM EST)

i think its a disgrace no updates for us EU ppl

    • [IN PROGRESS] European PC/Mac megaserver for patch maintenanc

    How about be patient

maybe you have all the time in the world but some ppl have a life outside this game and want to play a few hours a week when they can
Here's a splash of reality, ZOS have a job and that is to keep the game stable they have to run server downtime to follow a schedule, and shockingly, you're not the only person in the world :O they're not obligied to log onto the forums look for gresiacs thread and tell him the run down of tonights downtime, just remember that lol

yet they did do for the na server? also zos only have a job while they have satisfied customers willing to pay them money so while no they are not obligated to do anything it makes sense not to anger a portion of your customers by not doing something as simple as posting an ETA.

Not yet. We're looking at approximately 2.5 more hours for NA maintenance.

The problem is that they clearly are NOT running to a schedule.
I guess I'm mistaken that this day almost every week they do maintenance. My bad.

It's a lovely, and big, place. Just sad I didn't experience more of it before I left. Would love to go back and travel some day myself.
I'd heard horror stories before, but I'd never really ran into dangerous creatures that often. Sure, the odd snake in my backyard, and maybe a kangaroo that got lost, freaked out in town then killed a lady and her dog, but other that, it was pretty calm.

No, they don't - so that is your bad. Maintenance is sporadic at best, and nowadays only used to provide patches.

Also the schedule isn't just the starting time, it's an expected finish time too.

In any case, seeing as you picked up on the schedule part of my comment I have to assume that you agree that the complaint wasn't that it's taking a long time, or even that it's taking longer than expected, it's that we haven't been given an ETA.

Seven hours for maintenance... and still no word from ZoS on when it might complete.

I'd imagine that they genuinely have no idea how long it's going to take, and so rather than make a projection (which would be taken as gospel) and then miss that projected completion time, they wait until they have more concrete information.

But yeah, it would be nice to have someone come in simply to say all of the above.

Yeah, people can get even more fumed when they miss the estimated time. Even if they left that out and said "Dudes, there has been a delay. We'll let you know when we're back" I'd be more than happy.

erm they are ignoring us even as you post this. the fact is the US maintenance took 4hrs and 2 hrs in they had an ETA from ZOS that ETA posted as the 6th post in the thread that asked.

EU as it stands the update is at 7 hrs and not a peep despite multiple threads up for hours.

Erm... the evidence is that they do! That's the whole point of this thread!!!

NA maintenance gets an ETA, EU doesn't - don't you get it? They aren't keeping us informed.

NA maintenance takes 4.5 hours, EU has taken over 7 (for the same patch) and still hasn't completed, but we get no word on why it's taking so much longer than NA, or when it might be completed.

To say "we would be informed if we needed to know" is just silly!

That would presume that ZoS actually knew how long. It is more like: "it is done when it is done."
