No, you only get v15 drops in normal mode, and no chance for maelstrom weapons. Also don't get on the leaderboards for a chance at master's weapons and other legendary rewards.

I'll just wait for vet mode to get nerfed. Or they could just stop with only offering the best gear to no-lifers.

A "save" feature won't work in an MMO.

That being said, I agree with the OP that it is annoying the game kicks you out of the instance if you take a break.

Also seems to be working for normal mode - so don't see why this couldn't be implemented for vet too even if it means you don't get on the leaderboard

I have come to realize there are three types of forum posters.

There is normal mode and there is vet mode. there does not need to be an in-between mode.

If it really takes that long then our progress should be saved... even if it takes half that time our progress should be saved.

Can it really be a "wipe" when it just you?

when a healer can't heal, a dps can't do damage, or a tank can't tank, it can wipe a group pdq.

Take a leaf from DCUO - progress points.

Seeing as Survival Mode (SM) didn't appeal to me, I never tried it...but essentially it's about 20 (or so) rounds of increasingly harder enemies. About every three rounds or so, you get progress points...which allow re-start SM from that point.

So no "save" really required...just a flag or something that indicates the round(s) where you can enter.

It's not a save but a start on this stage option. I could see this being used if all previous score was removed and the progress only remains betweeen leaderboard resets. In this manner a player could farm vMSA and not push a leaderboard spot unless their final round score (or however many stages they complete in that attempt) qualifies them. It's fair and balanced for casuals that enjoy the content and want to be rewarded for their time.

This is going to be an unpopular suggestion but maybe increase the drop chance of weapon drops and put the MA on a weekly raid timer like World of Warcraft has for raids.

All this shows that you need to relax and take another approach. Very good if you are not writing for devs to make huge hits with strong 2H Hammer of Nerfing a.k.a Simplification There's no rush to try and get everything in blink of an eye as this is Mmo. I wish you luck and i hope you enjoy encounters and journey

They should make each wave a completion and give you a tiny reward,like a bit of gold.THEN send in the next wave.This way,the game recognizes that you have completed first wave and saves it.And if you die during the next wave,you have one or however many under your belt.
Tried it once,hated it.Just me though.

• I spent only this weekend on it it's not like I take it as a 2nd time job.
• What has relaxing and taking "another approach" be with being kicked out of the arena for no reason?
• What has relaxing and taking "another approach" be with asking for the progress being able to be saved.

I usually don't spend all my day in the game just had a free weekend at last and I wanted to complete this arena, wich I would've if I wasn't kicked out of it for no reason.

Since this Trial isn't for a group, why shouldn't there be a "Save Progress"? This would allow a lot more people to try this out and do it over a period of a week. It doesn't affect anyone BUT the person doing it. If your one of those that have the free time to go through the whole thing at one time, that's great for you. That is NOT the majority of the player base though. As the OP stated, people have jobs/lives and don't have that kind of time all at once to put into a trial.

Other MMO's have dungeons/trials that saved GROUP progress over the course of a week. There's no reason that Single player progress couldn't be added for Maelstrom.

There's no need for a save after every level, maybe every 3rd level which would put the last save right before the last boss. That would be perfect.

I think the only "fair" aspect would be, if you crash it gets saved. If you gotta go to diner well tfb.

There is no pause, there is no save, either do it or don't the only thing that should be compensated for is when things happen that are outside of your control, if you can control it you have nobody but yourself to blame.
