Also console players were complaining they couldn't remember their build. So instead of going through the trouble, ZOS just scrapped the service alltogether.

    Thank you console plebs!
Your arrogant prejudice is showing .. fact is plenty of PC players have QQed about point resets ever since ZOS did the first one.

We will not be resetting skills with the update tomorrow - there aren't enough changes to the abilities to warrant it. We will, however, be resetting all leaderboards.

And the crafting tier 10 writs? non-veteran level characters with 10/10 crafting skill will be able to get raw materials?

    Yes

Even as a console player, I got to agree.

We have a lot of QQ plebs.

I don't see what was so hard about it.

Please by all means don't do automatic skill reset ever again. It's not just those on console, i'm on PC also hate that automatic skill reset the most. I tend to forget what skills my alts have, i even sometimes forgot what skills my main have. Instead, in the future just give skill reset book to each characters, so at least we the forgetful bunches can go an memorized what skills we used to have for each of our characters first before resetting if we deemed necessary.

confused by the PC master race supremacists, i saw a fair few PC players QQ. On topic this update wouldn't warrant a skill reset. They haven't made any major skill changes.

Also i doubt ZOS would stop giving skill resets because some QQ, more potential crying if you drastically change the skills and don't give a reset. They may eventually make it non obligatory.

this idea of giving a scroll or w/e is good but you might have 7 un-levelled alts, and so have 7 respec scrolls and never buy them from the crown store. would have to be like the collectibles and unable to be banked/account bound.

I think another option would be to make the first skill reset on a character free, After that normal costs apply, and any time they need to give a free skill reset they just reset everyones' counter so the servers think every one is respec'ing for the first time. That way you have a character specific optional reset that doesn't lead to potential loss in revenue.

For me it's anything other than automatic reset. Right now i don't even remember what my templar was using before she got first automatic reset, to this day i felt that it's lacking somewhere and i felt the need to create another templar just remember my previous setting again. Making it unable to be banked is good idea. Making free one time reset also good, but i'm guessing it would be a bit more complicated to add than a simple make it unbankable or character bound.

Bi**h please, i only uses macro to make my character helmet disappear and other none battle related utillities (Skyshard, lore book, crafting, clock). Yeah, you're right with the word "probably"...but most likely you'll lost :P

You fail to realize PC player have been playing for more then double the amount of time you have Macro's are for *** players good players do not use them

I dont even see the applicability of them in pvp situations, fights are fluid, ever changing, you cant just macro and win

and ADDONS! seeing as how console player are getting FTC and other mainstays that most pc player use this is an invalid argument

Sigh you people are beyond help, it is not macro weaving it is animation cancelling and if you want to be good at this game you better learn how to do it because it is an integral part of this games combat system

Marcoing is close to botting not animation cancelling which is skillfull use of abilities to enhance you combat prowess

I came here to see what was going on with skill points. I instead got (indirectly) insulted.

Console players are perfectly fine, don't judge a whole group of players based off a few people. (I played Alpha and Beta on PC then waited for console release. I understand both platforms.)

We all enjoy the same damn game, why can't we just be nice to each other and discuss what we're all here for instead of insulting a whole community of people?

I get it, we're on the internet, it's a dark and nasty place sometimes, but do we REALLY have to act so immature and pathetic all of the time?

We should all be getting along, we're all here for the same thing, that being Elder Scrolls, if you're here just to argue which console is the best then please just go somewhere where that is asked for. This is not the place for console wars.

I don't usually feed possible trolls but URGH. We should all be friends. :(

is there even ways to macro on console? I imagine that require some janky super compicated setup where you hookup you console to you PC through some sketchy ass program

ZOS handled the resets completely stupid, and it's sad that you seem to want that half assed service, they should have had a token to reset or just gave you the next reset free, it's not rocket science to offer the same service but make it optional....

Take a moment to think about that.... do you need more time....

To do something as far fetched as adding in a token service would cost time and money to code something new into the game.

Seriously take a moment to think about that... Also that should be posted in the features request B)

Certainly understandable that players across the board would be upset on the reset, but this was a good thing since as the ADMIN put it:
We will not be resetting skills with the update tomorrow - there aren't enough changes to the abilities to warrant it. We will, however, be resetting all leaderboards.

Not everyone has the money to reset when things change that greatly.

And if there would have been a reset this time... I would have been confused by it initially but gotten over it and respec'd.

Dude, a bit of logic please...if i copied my build from other, i would've just need to copy it again. The problem here is that i don't copy any of my character builds from anywhere else, i got the setting from me playing from zero to hero, it's pretty damn straight original build came out of my brain. Now since i never bother to write down my builds for other people to copy, naturally i don't have any records on what build i was using, which makes me have a hard time with automatic skill reset....

With having multiple characters of different specs , those resets were really a pain and even more painful when it was a character you haven't played in a little while. They should have just added an option for it that you can opt-out when you log on your current character, like a free respect scroll to each character you have but:

1: bound to that character so you can't just keep multiple ones for future skill resets
2: 24 hours expiration time after log onto that said character, that's plenty of time to use it if you really wanted it.

Agree 100%! There should definitely be an option but, like everything else they cater to those that complain the most and neglect the rest of us.

Time and money to code something new? TIME AND MONEY TO CODE SOMETHING NEW? Are you serious right now? If ZOS can't code a free reset token OR just make the next reset free after a big patch in under an hour or two, they should NOT be coding for this game...
