See the crown store, I'm sure there is plenty of that out there.

Nope.Nothing sexy there.Only formal wear lately.
    I think there should be sexy gear for both female and male. Those who dont want it,..dont wear it. :}

Yeah the Crown Store is positively anemic. There should be tons of options ranging from conservative to sexy. In a big social game like this, folks should be able to individualize themselves.

Do you want to feel sexy? Then put on something sexy in real life. Armoured battle bikinis have no place in this game as far as I am concerned. As far as I understand, these would mostly be worn by women looking for the attention they struggle to have in their normal lives, and teenage boys who want to stare at their female characters breats and backsides.

That said, I am not opposed to clothing you can wear which is a bit more revealing - just as long as it's like the outfits you can steal from containers which have zero armour value. Then you can roleplay to your heart's content while safely in town.

Disagree. I think female characters are allready exaggerated and too sexualised.

Orginally I wanted to make an old Argonian herbal tea witch lady. But every single female character you can choose is luciously curved with not a straight line on there. Also their hips swing a meter from side to side when they're just walking, as if they're entering a ball-room during a wedding.

This is exactly the reason I dumped my female character after just a few levels. She moved like a supermodel, not a warrior.

However, I'm fine with sexy attire (such as for RP, etc) as long as it is styled for males too, and I don't mean men in dresses! The moment ZOS start making 'female only' and excluding males, I'll be gone like a shot. I left Tera for just that reason; they started aiming their game at *** and teenage straight boys.

MALES as well as females please. We don't all dance to the same drum, after all.

And in the same vein why not all nude (at least in the tropical climes); Amazon women were reputed to have cut off one breast in order to be able to shoot arrows better.

A personal gripe: since the males all have overdeveloped torsos why are the generic females so bottom heavy? What about better weight distribution for the generic female? And if breasts are a distraction then isn't this useful in battle? (I'm getting banned for this for sure but wth.) I'll take a 1 or 2 sec stun of my opponent while I'm slashing away with my Brynhildr type female avatar. Couldn't this be countered with a male equivalent basso profundo "roar."

Well, too bad the Mets lost.

Only as an afterthought, which did little to change the tone of that line.

Really? Asking for something for women players is that upsetting to you? Why is everyone butthurt about everything anymore. You can't say ANYTHING without hurting someone's feelings. Instead of looking for something to get hurt about why not look at the INTENTION behind comments. My INTENTION was to get something in game for us women. Therefore, it was POSITIVE. There is plenty negative in life without people looking for it.

(so you don't have to scroll up through it all: the post she is so butthurt about):
Hi! Just wanted to give one player's lil two cents. Really love the dresses!! <3 Please make more? We can never have too many.

Also, please make sexy battle gear to switch to?

    - Sincerely, all the female players (or at least one of them) <--- the horrifying statement that supposedly spoke for her without her knowledge :worried: This was said in jest which i thought anyone would get..

That being said i DO apologize for not asking for males as well as females. I wasn't thinking. My bad! Sorry guys!!

i would like to see an sexually attractive suit of battle attire, yet if it involves less material and exposed flesh, then that conflicts with the ability to provide battle protection. Although visual stimuli is agreeable, function is even more so. If she was wearing less material, then it should be considered as light or less than light armour. Maybe heavily reinforced with magic.
Let me state that my preference would be to wear little to no cloths and develop my body hands and feet to fight. That means i am for the less gear look if it means my scaled skin has become hard like metal.
Other than that, i look forward to humans being more use to looking at the human body as spiritual vessel with many working tool parts instead of mostly a tool for sexual stimulation. We need to view a natural plain body(one without cloths) as an efficient natural construct. Although i am one to say i definitely like sexual stimuli, i also realize some give it far too much attention.
In short, i would embrace seeing some female combatants in sexy gear IF it's physical aspects made sense, or it was a crown store polymorph like those other cosmetic outfits.

I think it depends on class? Surely, if you good at sneaking and with a bow how much armor would you really need? Perhaps I'm wrong, just a thought.

I'm not sure how to respond.. <scratches head> While you might be honorable for thinking so... perhaps it could be used as persuasion with guards? <grins> (joking!!) Also, the pic i posted seemed tasteful to me. Its almost like people are thinking I'm saying we should run around in bikinis. Hey.. some distraction might work in pvp too ;)

Its fiunny how some people are so adverse to others wanting to have their characters being sexy.Kinda selfish,if you ask me.That should be a personal preference, and no,they arent too s exty already.Unless you call every single inch of skin covered as being totally sexy.
Fat-Larry-Makes-All and Khenarthi,..if you dont wish your characters to be even the remotest sexy,no problem. Please, feel free to not wear anything that bothers you. However, other players should have the freedom to wear what they want. Its better than watching people walk around in speedo trunks,or a bikini, neither of which is actually lore friendly. lol. Even so,while I think it looks silly,I would never fix it so they couldnt do that. Personal preference.

Others having sexy characters is fine mate don't put words in my mouth please. What I'm saying is that I think the females are all ready too sexy . They all have the curves of a super-model and walk like they're on a porno-set. Real women don't walk like that, it's stylised and exaggerated.

And it annoys me. It makes me feel like ESO is made by horny 16-year olds.

So you allready have your sexy females, but where are the ugly old hag witches I want? Seems like like you're the one who's only taking into account your own wishes.

As a "women player" I would prefer that "sexy battle gear" or whatever you call it, be left OUT of this game. Making this request would equally be "asking for something for women players," e.g. asking that our armor not be sexualized.

It seems you're the one getting upset over people having different tastes than you.

As long as this doesn't turn into the ridiculousness of certain J or K MMO's (coughScarletBladecough) in regards to skimpy armor/clothes, I'm down with that.

Wholeheartedly agreed. Please do not speak in the name of a whole group of people @babydollxoxo , even in jest, as they may not share your opinion at all.

As I said before, for roleplaying a "tavern wench" some slutty outfits could be made available and I would even endorse them if they were item to equip as opposed to costumes that go over your armour, as well as available for men as well. It's not a matter of being a prude: there is a time and place for everything, and in Elder Scrolls, you should wear proper protection when facing an enemy.

To be honest I have quite enjoyed playing a game where for once armours are not showing as much as possible without making itself x rated.

As @Khenarthi said there is a time and place for sexy clothes and they could be added however it needs to be in a way which is fitting and tasteful. If the sole purpose of the amour is sex appeal then it's being done wrong, if it's a Nordic or barbaric style which shows off a bit more skin but not just to emphasise a characters breasts, arse or w/e then it would be fitting.

Attitudes towards female attire change over time. In just a few hundred years, many a female hero will be braving frostbite, or worse, in the cold reaches of Skyrim as they chase fashion from independent armor designers and wear styles of armor that barely, or don't, cover everything.

Speaking in jest about females wanting new clothing options is like speaking in jest about males wanting beer. How in the world people are offended so easily by every little thing nowadays is beyond me. We all have our opinions and I even said that some were cool when they didn't agree with mine. But as far as jesting goes, no I won't walk on eggshells. You know very well the spirit behind what I said and that is what you should focus on. You will have a long rough life if you cannot see where good intentions are-- and learn to embrace humor.

    Wow....*insert Ron Bergundy meme*

I'm with the OP on this. More variety of dress options should be in the crown store.

People seem to of taken this suggestion waaayyy too far with some responses.

So what if someone wants to have their character dress a certain way? Are people really that naive to think that the way they dress their character ON A GAME in some way mirrors their real life persona?
  • Cavanoskus

Actually, every single person in this thread has agreed that there should be more variety of costumes in the store, and the disagreement has absolutely nothing to do with anyone's "real life persona," so I'm not sure where you got that.

The issue is that some people want their female characters to wear skimpy "battle" outfits, and some would prefer not to have to see those in this game as they feel it doesn't fit the atmosphere of ESO.

Edit: Well, that and the fact that the OP seems really oversensitive about other women disagreeing with her statement that "sexy battle gear" is something we want...

    Under two conditions:

    1) The outfit looks the same on both male and female characters. Skimpy outfit? Shows as much skin on either gender. No differences. No 'looks half naked on women and fully clothed on men'.

    2) It's lore-appropriate. It's Reachman leathers, barbaric sort of armor, Redguard attire meant for the hot desert, etc. No chain bikinis, no plate thongs, only things that belong in the world.

    ^ This. ^

Additional to this: not just putting the man in female styled stuff, but a properly styled male skimpy version. Most men don't need a bra!

Also additional, aimed at the OP: not all female players play females or want chainmail bikinis. I am a female player who plays male characters. I don't like the 'supermodel hip-sway' walk of females in this game, plus I'd rather look at a man than a woman when I play. It always annoys me when people ask for female this and that, excluding the males, especially in a game where I can't just mod in more male stuff like I usually do.

Let's keep the current equality that already exists here. Nice clothes for males and females alike. Skimpy or posh gear - please for both.
